Does ABC News Have a Habit of Booking Mentally Disturbed People on Their Political Talk Shows?

Speaking of people being high on some type of hallucinogenic substance or another:

ABC News contributor Mary Matalin compared President Obama to Dick Cheney on national security issues on Sunday, setting off a debate between the panel members on "This Week."
The roundtable was assessing the president's speech on Friday about reforms to the National Security Agency. Obama outlined proposals for changes to the NSA's programs, but largely defended the agency's domestic surveillance activities as necessary for protecting national security. David Remnick, the editor of The New Yorker, pointed out that they were the types of programs that Obama used to oppose as a senator.
Mary Matalin compared Obama to Dick Cheney, saying, "He was against it before he was for it. Now Barack Obama is Dick Cheney. He needs these policies, they are necessary for our security."

Listen dear readers -- The Gadfly knows full well that Obama has to kowtow to the national security apparatus -- as does every president.  Does that make it right?  Not at all.  Does that make it politically acceptable?  No.  However, the president did pledge the other day, after Sir Snowden revealed that what Americans have always suspected of their government's domestic spying activities were pretty much true , that there will be more transparency and congressional/civilian oversight of the spook programs and their activities  (believable or not) .  Take it for what it's worth.

But for Mary Matalin, former counselor to Darth Cheney, to just blurt out a blanket statement that Obama is the same as Dick Cheney .... fucking ROFLMAO . . . .  (that is internet speak for Rolling On Floor Laughing My Ass Off).

Let us perform a short, perfunctory review shall we:

DUI Dick.  Corporate criminal Dick.  War liar Dick.  Torturer Dick.

Oh yeah -- the guy who is trying to ensure most of his fellow citizens have access to basic, affordable health care is just like Dick Cheney.

Calling Dr. Drew! Calling Dr. Drew! --- Mary Matalin obviously has a substance abuse problem -- so let's get her ass in the facility --- double her up in a room with Dennis Rodman.
