Don't Shoot Until You See the Lights of Their License Plates! . . .

What is it with the Teabaggers and their obsessively juvenile desire to employ wanton, random gun violence against anyone who doesn't share their fucked up view of the world?

A conservative blogger at a rally for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) jokingly said Texans should start shooting if they see cars with California license plates.
The blogger, Bill Whittle, is a regular guest on Fox News and frequent contributor to Pajamas Media. He also previously wrote for National Review Online.
He was speaking at a Freedom Rally hosted by Texans for Freedom and Liberty on Saturday night.
"You will see a lot of cars coming west heading east on Interstate 10, and they're going to have California license plates," Whittle said in remarks flagged by Raw Story. "Now, if you see these cars pull into rest areas or hotels or restaurants, that's fine. Wave goodbye, make sure they go out on the Louisiana end."
Whittle went on to say that if you see those people drive into residential areas "you need to open fire on these vehicles immediately. Immediately. Not with 9mm or AR rounds, you need to put mortars on those things, you cannot take any chances."

The article states that Whittle's exhortation to his fellow loons to open fire on vehicles with California license plates, presumably because if they are from California, they must all be commie liberals, was done in a "joking" manner.

Which of course begs the obvious question, in the climate of recent gun tragedies and daily gun violence that presently exists in this country, what kind of hideous individual jokes about shooting and killing people over real or perceived political differences?  You want to know what kind of individual does that dear readers? --- the kind that show up at Ted Cruz Tea Party rallies and laugh heartily at such "jokes."  That's who.

If by some miracle, this country is still around as a democratic republic a couple of hundred years from now, the historians of that future time are going to look back upon stupidity like the Teabagger antics and joylessly wonder what form of malevolent mental disease could possibly have given rise to such a hateful, intellectually stunted and morally bankrupt movement like the Tea Party.

Sad people indeed.
