Weird Science Made Funny Science . . .

The Gadfly believes he has stumbled upon Drumpf's family tree genome origin:

January 31, 2017 3:30 PM
A tiny wrinkled sack with a big mouth and no anus may well be the earliest-known of humans’ forebears. Meet Saccorhytus coronarius, a 540-million-year-old critter the size of a grain of sand, whose fossil remains were discovered in China.
Scientists say Saccorhytus is the most primitive of the known deuterostomes, a group of organisms whose living descendants include a vast array of animals from humans to starfish. The find, described in the journal Nature, sheds new light on the rise of vertebrates — and on the reason that certain evolutionary links in their line of descent seem to be missing from the fossil record.

A "tiny wrinkled sack" with a "big mouth and no anus" ---- LOL!  The consummate description of Dear Leader.

Put an orange, horse-hair toupee' on it and you have to admit dear readers - the physical resemblance is frighteningly uncanny.

Extremist Monkey See, Extremist Monkey Do . . .

Jeebus these people . . . .

JANUARY 30, 2017, 6:30 PM EDT
A convoy of military vehicles flying a "Trump" flag was caught on video driving through Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday.
In the recording, four vehicles—the first flying a blue flag with "TRUMP" and "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" emblazoned in white—drive down Interstate 65, according to a report by the Courier-Journal.

You know who else likes to parade around their communities in military style vehicles with their ideological freak flags waving? . . .

A Rush to "Alternative Facts" Judgement . . .

The Idiocracy administration and their favorite bootlicking media outlet just can't wait to stir shit up even more than they already have over this past week.

This is what The Gadfly is talking about when he states his belief that right wing extremism as practiced by our own home grown assholes is much more of a threat to America's stability and security than a bunch of rag-tag Muslim zealots riding around in Toyota pick-up trucks and hiding out in caves in the mid-east:
MASS SHOOTING at a Quebec City mosque last night left six people dead and eight wounded. The targeted mosque, the Cultural Islamic Center of Quebec, was the same one at which a severed pig’s head was left during Ramadan last June. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the episode a “terrorist attack on Muslims.”
Almost immediately, various news outlets and political figures depicted the shooter as Muslim. Right-wing nationalist tabloids in the UK instantly linked it to Islamic violence. Fox News claimed that “witnesses said at least one gunman shouted ‘Allahu akbar!’,” and then added this about the shooter’s national origin:
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer exploited the attack to justify President Trump’s ban on immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. “It’s a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the President is taking steps to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to our nation’s safety and security,” Spicer said at this afternoon’s briefing when speaking of the Quebec City attack.
But these assertions are utterly false. The suspect is neither Moroccan nor Muslim. The Moroccan individual, Mohamed el Khadir, was actually one of the worshippers at the mosque and called 911 to summon the police, and played no role whatsoever in the shooting.
The actual shooting suspect is 27-year-old Alexandre Bissonnette, a white French Canadian who is, by all appearances, a rabid anti-immigrant nationalist. A leader of a local immigration rights groups, Fran├žois Deschamps, told a local paper he recognized his photo as an anti-immigrant far-right “troll” who has been hostile to the group online. And Bisonnette’s Facebook page – now taken down but still archived – lists among its “likes” the far right French nationalist Marine Le Pen, Islam critics Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the Israeli Defense Forces, and Donald J. Trump.

So basically the Canadian version of Dylann Roof acts out his wingnut gun-fondling fantasy and massacres a bunch of Muslim Canadians in their place of worship and before blood has even ceased seeping from the shot up bodies of the victims, Fux Noize (they have never earned the right to call themselves a "News" organization) is bleating all over the air-waves that it was a Moroccan Muslim who perpetrated the murders and Drumpf's alternative facts spewing press toad Sean Spicer smugly rushes out a press release exploiting the tragedy as justification for dear leader's draconian and stupid fucking immigration/travel ban.

Now - before The Gadfly's detractors get their right-wing girly knickers bunched up in a knot in thinking that The Gadfly is a Muslim terrorist sympathizer --- first - fuck y'all -- second --- consider the following and then answer the question at the end:

In Drumpf's executive order for the immigrantion/travel ban he targeted seven countries.  Those countries are Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, the Sudan and Yemen.

Drumpf invoked the specter of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to bolster the rationale for his order.  In fact - he invoked the memory of 9/11 not once, but three times in the wording of his repulsive screed.

It is a FACT that the nineteen 9/11 hijacker terrorists were from the following countries -- 15 of them were from Saudi Arabia.  2 of them were from United Arab Emirates (UAE) and 1 each from Eqypt and Lebanon.

Hmmm The Gadfly thought to his dirty old fucking liberal hippie self -- there seems to be something amiss with this picture here -- whatever could it be??

Oh yes -- that's it! .. None of the countries from where the 9/11 hijackers originated from are on Dear Leader's executive  immigration/travel ban order.  Odd dontcha' think?  Oh but that is not all - here's a list of Arab countries where Dear Leader Drumpf has business/property interests (that we know of - since he refuses to release his financials and tax returns):  Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

So here's the question that is begging to be asked and outright groveling to be answered and is directed to The Gadfly's conservative friends and Drumpf supporters:

Q:  Since Drumpf found it necessary to invoke the memories of the horror of 9/11 (and no mention of any other terror incidents) multiple times as justification in support of his executive order - then why weren't the three countries who spawned 17 of the 19 September 11 attackers on the immigration/travel ban list ?? ??

Answer that fucking question coherently, with no fucking "alternative facts" bullshit and fucking honestly.  Do that and then maybe - just maybe - you and The Gadfly can have an adult conversation on the matter --- mkay?

Until then - Fux Noize and Sean Spicer should just keep their ignorant, antagonistic pie-holes the fuck shut about incidents like this until all of the reality-based world of facts are clearly known and also because there is ample reason to question just exactly where Donald Drumpf's loyalties truly lie.

Too Late to Put the Authoritarian Genie Back in the Bottle Now...

Seriously though dear readers -- it's not just dirty old fucking liberal hippies like The Gadfly howling at the moon on his shitty little blog who see Drumpf and his gang as a clear and present danger to the constitution and by proxy, the Republic.  There are some very serious and prominent (and sane) conservatives who are of the same belief:

I am not surprised by President Donald Trump’s antics this week. Not by the big splashy pronouncements such as announcing a wall that he would force Mexico to pay for, even as the Mexican foreign minister held talks with American officials in Washington. Not by the quiet, but no less dangerous bureaucratic orders, such as kicking the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff out of meetings of the Principals’ Committee, the senior foreign-policy decision-making group below the president, while inserting his chief ideologist, Steve Bannon, into them. Many conservative foreign-policy and national-security experts saw the dangers last spring and summer, which is why we signed letters denouncing not Trump’s policies but his temperament; not his program but his character.
We were right. And friends who urged us to tone it down, to make our peace with him, to stop saying as loudly as we could “this is abnormal,” to accommodate him, to show loyalty to the Republican Party, to think that he and his advisers could be tamed, were wrong.
In an epic week beginning with a dark and divisive inaugural speechextraordinary attacks on a free press, a visit to the CIA that dishonored a monument to anonymous heroes who paid the ultimate price, and now an attempt to ban selected groups of Muslims (including interpreters who served with our forces in Iraq and those with green cards, though not those from countries with Trump hotels, or from really indispensable states like Saudi Arabia), he has lived down to expectations.
Precisely because the problem is one of temperament and character, it will not get better. It will get worse, as power intoxicates Trump and those around him. It will probably end in calamity—substantial domestic protest and violence, a breakdown of international economic relationships, the collapse of major alliances, or perhaps one or more new wars (even with China) on top of the ones we already have. It will not be surprising in the slightest if his term ends not in four or in eight years, but sooner, with impeachment or removal under the 25th Amendment. The sooner Americans get used to these likelihoods, the better.
ELIOT A. COHEN is the director of the Strategic Studies Program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. From 2007 to 2009, he served as counselor to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He is the author of The Big Stick: The Limits of Soft Power and the Necessity of Military Force.

Cohen was one of 50 Republican national security experts who signed an open letter last August warning Americans that Donald Trump:

“lacks the character, values and experience” to be president and “would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

The Gadfly made sincere efforts on the pages of this shitty little blog to warn you Hillary haters that regardless of whatever it was about her that got your knickers in a knot, venting your misguided anger by electing an amoral, power hungry, narcissistic con artist with delusions of despotic grandeur to the most powerful position in the free world was not the wisest of solutions.  But did you listen to those warnings?  No you didn't.  And now, because of your dumbassery, this country is going to go through a very painful, and dangerous period which puts everything that you Trump supporters loudly proclaim to love about your nation at grave risk.  You very, very, very foolish assholes.

Don's Kampf With the Truth . . .

[ click pic to enlarge ]

Keep the following in mind as you continue reading:

A Sociopath:  A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused—it is done to get one’s way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways (see lovefraud, for more on sociopaths).
Compulsive Liar:  A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (unlike sociopaths), rather they simply lie out of habit—an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship (see how to cope with a compulsive liar).

Which to whit:
President Donald Trump falsely claimed in a Wednesday night interview that two people were shot in Chicago during former President Obama’s farewell address in the city, The Chicago Tribune reported.
ABC News’ David Muir asked Trump about Chicago in one exchange from the interview, which the Tribune noted was not aired on television Wednesday but which appears in the interview’s full transcript. The President has long panned what he has called “carnage” in American cities, Chicago foremost among them.
“Well, so far they have been unable” to curb the city’s murder rate, Trump said, according to the transcript.
“It’s been going on for years. And I wasn't President," he continued. "So, look, when President Obama was there two weeks ago making a speech, very nice speech. Two people were shot and killed during his speech. You can't have that.”
But that's simply not true. The Tribune confirmed with the Chicago Police Department that no shootings occurred during Obama’s speech.

Let's just say for the sake of argument that all politicians lie.  Some more than others.  Agreed?

What Drumpf is doing though, is lying on a level and scale never before seen in the annals of American politics.  The man is a virtual Gatling Gun of lies - and it does not matter how insignificant the subject matter is that he is lying about on any given day - it could be anything - he just makes shit up and throws it out there in the arena of public discourse.  Quite often Drumpf will deny it when confronted the day after he spews the lie, and then the following day will double down and repeat it yet again (that's the sociopath part).

And The Gadfly specifically emphasizes "American" politics, because the world actually has seen Drumpf level of lying throughout the course of history - most notably that of Adolph Hitler and his crack team of masterful propagandists in pre-WW2 Germany whereby the Nazis actually convinced their people that the cause of all their economic woe and misery wasn't their country's antagonistic role in WW1, but was actually because of the Jews, the liberals, the intellectuals, the gays and the minorities (sound familiar) who were diluting and polluting their purebred, wholesome, Aryan way of life and acting as their economic oppressors.

And what is sad and scary is that Drumpf's hard core followers are of the same unthinking mindset as were Hitler's followers.

Dear Leader Drumpf says he saw "thousands" of American-Muslims dancing and celebrating in the streets in New Jersey on 9/11, although no one else saw it, - yet his followers believe him.

Dear Leader Drumpf says, without a shred of proof, that as many as 5 million illegal aliens cast votes for Hillary Clinton, thus denying Dear Leader a popular vote mandate - his followers believe it.

Dear Leader Drumpf says he saw at least a million and a half people at his inauguration and that it was the largest ever in the history of inaugurations, all over the world including Obama's, despite photographic evidence clearly disproving the claim - his followers believe it.

Dear Leader Drumpf says he's going to build a 2,000 mile long, impenetrable wall along the U.S./Mexico border, over mountains, through rivers and lakes and canyons and the U.S. taxpayers will not have to pay a dime for it because Mexicans will pay for it - his followers believe it.

Dear Leader Drumpf says he is going to provide every American with quality, low cost health insurance - even though to date he has not presented one single line of detail on such a plan - his followers believe it.

Dear Leader Drumpf told his followers that if elected he would release his tax returns - his followers believed it.

That is just a sparse sampling of some of Drumpf's more prominently blatant lies.  And this is not anything new for Drumpf by the way.  Anyone who has followed Donald Drumpf's licentious career knows what a sleazy, manipulative con artist he is and always has been.  The Gadfly's larger point here is really about his rapturous disciples who uncritically accept his word as the gospel truth and his intentions as being in good faith even when directly confronted to their faces with all of the available evidence that irrevocably invalidates the man's lies and deceit.  They possess the same cultish mindset of the kind of people who enabled an Adolph Hitler and his minions to come to power and nearly destroy the world some 70 or so years ago.

Drumpf's spokespeople say they are just presenting "alternative facts" and that there are "no such things as facts anymore" -- and horrifyingly, that appears to be a totally acceptable explanation to the Drumpf bootlickers.

That kind of mindless, soulless, programmed conviction does not bode well for a healthy, inclusive democracy and in fact is the key ingredient in the recipe for spectacularly failed societies -- just ask any 90 year old German citizen about how that blind fealty to a charismatic, brash, uber-patriotic nationalist worked out for them 70 years ago.

This is the reality that we are faced with as a nation right now dear readers.  And the sooner that the remaining mature, clear thinking adults all decide to set aside petty ideological, philosophical and political differences, and unite to collectively address the crisis of this extremist danger in our midst, the sooner we as a nation will begin the process of rectifying a terrible mistake and save America from a fate not so very different from the one which befell 1940's Germany.

Drumpf, in his autobiography wrote this:
"The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people's fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That's why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular.I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration — and a very effective form of promotion."
~~~Donald Trump in "The Art of The Deal"
Tell The Gadfly how that philosphy differs in any way from this:
"The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over."
"The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it."
~~~Joseph Goebbels - Nazi Minister of Propaganda

In ur Face . . .

The Gadfly was humbled and inspired by Saturday's march for women and march against Emperor Drumpf turnout.  And it's quite clear that it was the driving reason as to why the Drumpfanista's got their collective panties in a bunch -- The Dapper Don got shown up by a bunch of decent, reality speaking women folk.  Good lord that must have hurt him so.

Anyhow -- good for you ladies!  Bravo and thank you for showing the progressive men-folk how to unrepentantly say fuck you to a bunch of gutless, bullying white male elitist assholes.

And the picture at the top of this post is apt -- it's all there is that needs to be said.

A Day in The Life of a Sightless Squirrel . . .

The Gadfly typically does not have much use or time for the views of George W. Bush era neo-conservatives, but in this instance, it's probably beneficial to those conservatives who still retain some semblance of sanity and human dignity to pay heed to this fellow's words as we move forward in the era of Drumpf.

Former adviser to Bush Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice - Eliot A. Cohen:

Trump lies because it is in his nature to lie. One suspects that there is nothing inside this man that quivers, however slightly, at an untruth. It is not uncommon for politicians, to a greater extent than most people, to believe what they want to believe, or to change their take on reality depending on what is convenient for them. With Trump, however, this will to believe is pathological: his psyche is so completely besotted by Trump that there is no room for anything, or anybody else.
We will not change him—no one can. His children may be able to soften the edges and his most trusted advisers may deflect him off his erratic courses, but nothing will teach him gravitas, magnanimity, or wisdom. Until he is impeached, thrown out of office in four years, succumbs to illness, or lasts through eight years, he is what we have learned he is, and will remain so. The beginning of wisdom will be to treat his office with respect, but him with none, because it will achieve nothing, and because as a human being he deserves none. He will remain erratic, temperamental, vengeful, and perhaps most of all, deeply insecure. A man who mocks John McCain, denounces Gold Star parents, snarls at an actor who spoofs him, and makes fun of a crippled reporter is someone whose core is empty, and whose need for approbation is unlimited because the void within him is so complete.

And as the hoary old saying goes - even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

Well That Was Special . . . .

So The Gadfly plied his self with a double dose of Mylanta and flipped on the idiot box yesterday afternoon to catch up on the day's activities surrounding the women's marches.  What The Gadfly was treated to instead was some pure comedy gold.

The waning cable news coverage of the women's marches was interrupted by an announcement that Drumpf's official mouthpiece, Sean Spicer, was going to give the new administration's very first press conference.  Oh yippee!  All the talking heads on the idiot box thought it would be some form of official acknowledgement by Drumpf of the day's events surrounding the women's marches and perhaps some smugly terse statement about how the new President respects all American's views and how he intends to graciously (even if disingenuously) reach across the divide and listen to those opposing views.

And that's where the treat comes in.

What Americans were bizarrely treated to was Drumpf's hack Spicer huffily rushing in to the White House press briefing room, and standing at the podium for at least 5 or 6 minutes red-faced whimpering like a little bitch about perceived media lies in regard to the size of the crowd that showed up to worship dear leader at his amazingly yuuuge and fantastic coronation the day prior.  Spicer spent the entirety of his mic time whining about how the mean old media is picking on poor little lord fauntleroy Donnie and how the Drumpfanistas just aren't going to take it any more goddamn it! -- and then without taking one single question from the gathered press pool he stormed out of the briefing room.

WTF?  Haha!  If The Gadfly didn't know any better he would swear that with his histrionic tirade Spicer was reprising this infamous performance:

Good lord these people are some seriously thin-skinned fucking assholes.

And of course - it goes without saying that Spicer deliberately avoided acknowledging the very big and even international story of the day -- the enormous crowds gathered in major cities across the U.S., as well as in several large cities in Europe, protesting for women's rights, and just as vociferously, against President Pussy Grabber himself.

NOT - ONE - WORD!  The Gadfly can only imagine how President Pussy Grabber was just apoplectic with high dudgeon knowing that a whole lot of women (oh the irony) had upstaged his glorious crowning event.  The poor bastard probably suffered a minor stroke.

The point is dear readers - this is the bunch of simpering cowards whom we have allowed to hijack our government with no good intentions in mind.  Shit -- Obama withstood 8 years of right wing conservatives daily questioning his very legitimacy not only as President and a U.S. citizen, but also as a man worthy of the exalted office for which he was landslide elected to twice.  You never heard a peep out of Mr. Obama in response back to those people and their quite often racism-tinged charges and cretinous behavior toward him.  That man had far too much grace, class and dignity to lower himself to their level.

But truly -- if Drumpf and his people are going to throw an infantile kiniption fit on their first day of governing as they did yesterday, The Gadfly can only surmise it is going to just get worse in the coming days, weeks, months...etc.  And it begs the question of course as to how exactly are they going to react when another nation's leader, possibly even an ally, criticizes little Donnie?  Will their reaction be just as juvenile?  Will they destroy alliances?  Will they start a trade war? Will they start a real war over their hurt little fee-fees?

Once again dear readers, as The Gadfly has alluded to in his most recent postings, this is the grossly sub-standard quality of people that the voters of this country have enabled to come to power.  What we have now is an immature, petulant jerk leading a pack of immature, petulant jerks.  Whatever could possibly go wrong?

Make America Grovel Again . . .

Oh this is just the very beginning dear readers:

WASHINGTON ― With what may have been his first presidential order, Donald Trump made it more expensive for working- and middle-class Americans to buy their first homes. The move will increase costs for 750,000 to 850,000 Americans in the next year alone, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Hey - somebody has to fund the deep tax cuts that Drumpf and his gang are planning to give to his super wealthy corporate and Goldman Sachs pals amiright?  And no better place to pilfer American's tax dollars than straight from their pocket books.

Drumpf has a tremendous hard-on (small as his penis is) right now and he is absolutely trembling with virgin excitement at the prospect of ramming his tiny member deep in to the American working class's economic ass hole.

No - seriously - you people elected a man who in 2007 openly expressed excitement at the prospect of an impending housing crash in America -- a housing crash which did indeed occur in 2008 during the world-wide financial collapse and which resulted in millions of middle-class Americans losing their jobs, homes and retirement savings in one fell swoop.  And Drumpf was ecstatic about it because it created more wealth for him.

The Gadfly and others tried to warn you all this was coming.  But here's the deal America -- you deserve it.  You deserve every ass-reaming economic measure that Drumpf and his oligarch overlords have planned for you - because gee - who'da  thunk that putting a billionaire, reality TV host with the morals of a widow swindler and the social disposition of a pit viper in charge of your country just might not have a happy outcome for most?  Honestly -- what did you people expect was going to happen??

But then again we are talking about morons like this:

That idiot woman has no clue that not only is Drumpf going to grab her pussy, he's going to grab her economic quality of life along with the future quality of life of her offspring (which just the mere thought of this brainless twit procreating makes The Gadfly ill).

Anyhow -- better stock up on that K-Y Jelly Joe and Jane Six-PackAmerica -- an xtra large sized tube of anal lube is going to be your best friend for the foreseeable future.

Eat Your Heart Out Leni Riefenstahl . . .

So Drumpf tweets out a photo of his self purportedly hard at work writing his inauguration speech:

[ click pic to enlarge ]

Twitter trolling hilarity ensued of course because not only does the photo look painfully and amateurishly staged, but a close up view indicates Drumpf is holding a capped Sharpie pen and a blank pad of college ruled paper.  Please - someone buy this poor clown a laptop with a copy of Microsoft Word on it - mkay?

Everything about this (cough, hack, cough...) man just screams FRAUD!

But, but, but ... Benghazi!  Emails!!  Monica Lewinsky!!! . . . . . . sigh.

Oh look Mommy! Here Come The ICBM Floats! . . .

Oh fer' fuck's sake!:

Trump Says He'll Show Off The US Military In Parades
Donald Trump plans on displaying the United States military's strength when he becomes president by having troops march in parades.
“Being a great president has to do with a lot of things, but one of them is being a great cheerleader for the country,” Trump told the Washington Post in an interview published Wednesday morning. “And we’re going to show the people as we build up our military, we’re going to display our military."
"That military may come marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. That military may be flying over New York City and Washington, D.C., for parades. I mean, we’re going to be showing our military," he continued.

Strong man gotta be strong - dontcha know?

You know who else has or has had a fetish for showing off their shiny new WMD toys to all the other kids on the block ?....

....Of course that would be in order of pictorial appearance, Communist North Korea, Communist Russia, Communist China and one of the most evil fucking regimes in the history of humanity - WW2 Nazi Germany.

Now The Gadfly isn't stating definitively that Drumpf is a communist or a Nazi - but ask yourself - when was the last time you had a U.S. President, Republican or Democrat declare that they were going to show off America's military might to the world by having military display parades?  You haven't.  None have done it - and for good reason, one which if The Gadfly needs to explain the reasons why not to you, you honestly should not be freely walking the streets of this country without some form of adult supervision.

Imagine for a moment if, during the campaign, Hillary Clinton had made the audacious claim that if she were to be elected President, she would hold military parades on Pennsylvania Avenue and in Times Square to show the world how "great" America is?  She would have rightly been laughed permanently out of the American political arena.

But Drumpf is a beast of a wholly different and frightening nature, and his followers are mindless beastlets in which every last one of them, sporting their cute little red MAGA caps, would follow their dear leader straight in to the pit of hell if he asked them to - which is where this country is surely headed should Generalissimo Drumpf be allowed to play unsupervised with his army toys in the world's sandbox.

The Gadfly isn't railing against any specific policy of Drumpf's here -- no -- it is so much more than that.  It's about competence and wisdom and sanity and at it's core it is about the future of this nation being at stake.  We are in uncharted territory here with an absolutely clueless imbecile with delusions of grandeur ready to take the reins of the world's arguably greatest democracy and undoubtedly most fearsome military complex and everyone is just traipsing about as if it's business as usual.

The Gadfly dares not ponder the price that we will all pay for our collective stupidity and apathy if we grant this juvenile man-child license to let his narcissistic, arrogant freak flag fly come January 20th.

Obligatory PSA . . . .

Ok -- it's that time again -- time for The Gadfly's bi-annual, or whenever, blanket disclaimer.

Alright -- so let's get this shit out of the way so that we may proceed with talking about Komrade Drumpf and friends.

All opinions on this shitty little blog are The Gadfly's, solely The Gadfly's, nobody else's, 100% original, sincere and straight from bottomless abyss of The Gadfly's dirty old hippie mind and soul, and delivered to you dear reading public, with nary so much as an iota of repentance or shame.

And that takes care of that bit of routine business.
