Somebody Brought Their Limp Schlong To A Knife Fight . . . And The Outcome Was Predictable...

For a very long time The Gadfly had thought of Democratic Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid as something of a milquetoast politician, one who would rather appease the opposition than put up an admirable fight.

But The Gadfly was wrong.  The Gadfly has been watching politics for many years and over the past several years he has seen who the real Harry Reid is.  Harry Reid is the Jason Bourne of American politics.  Even though he's 76 years old, he has that baby faced, harmless yuppie look just like Matt Damon's on-screen character.  But don't be fooled, for like Bourne, if you give Harry Reid just a sliver of an opportunity, he will not hesitate to take advantage of that minuscule opening and quite rightly fuck your shit up.

Just ask Mitt Romney - who Reid laid to waist with his now infamous 2012 attack during the presidential election campaign where he claimed he had been informed by a "credible source" that Romney hadn't paid taxes for 10 years and that was why he was resisting releasing his returns for public viewing.  Of course it turned out the statement was mostly a fabrication by Reid, but it was also the dagger in Romney's rib cage which cemented the idea in a lot of fence-sitting voter's minds that Romney was a tax dodging wealthy elitist who was out of touch with working men and women and the middle class.

A couple of years later, some cable tv reporter asked Reid if he had any regrets about his fib or if he wanted to apologize for it, and Reid looked directly in the camera, smiled and said, "I don't regret that at all, Romney didn't win - did he?"  2-fucking-shay.

And now it appears that Herr Drumpf has failed to learn the lesson taught to Mitt Romney as well.  A Washington Post reporter yesterday told Drumpf that Reid, responding to the Drumpf team's nasty attacks on Hillary Clinton's health, made an off-hand comment that Drumpf didn't look so "slim and trim" his self.  Drumpf, ever the adolescent that he is, couldn't let that go without making a smart ass remark in return and he retorted, "Harry Reid? I think he should go back and start working out again with his rubber work-out pieces."

What Drumpf was referring to was a horrific accident that Reid was involved not long ago while exercising on a workout machine at home.  During the workout, an elastic band on the machine snapped in half, struck Reid directly in the face and sent him crashing backward into a set of cabinets. The violent fall left Reid with broken ribs, multiple fractured bones in his face, and he ended up being blinded in his right eye. Reid had to endure several months of recovery.

Now never mind the obvious part of Drumpf being a real fucking rotten asshole of a human being for mocking the real-life injuries of another individual (and no doubt his supporters love him the more for it - because that is who they are too), but Drumpf forgot one thing about Harry Reid.  You see, Unlike little Donny, who has lived the life of a pampered, boarding school princeling who was born sliding in to home plate believing that he had hit an inside the park home run, Harry Reid had just the opposite kind of upbringing.

Harry Reid was born in to an impoverished family in tiny Searchlight, Nevada just a couple of years before WW2 broke out.  His father was a hard rock miner and his mother a laundress for the local brothels.  His family lived in a home with no toilet, no running water and no telephone service.  He was an amateur boxer who admits to having been called out to fight in the street from bar rooms on more than one occasion.  He married his high school sweetheart in 1959 and is still married to her.

Reid got involved in Nevada state politics in his late 20's.  He then went on to become Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission and he took on the organized crime mobsters who controlled most of the gambling operations in Las Vegas and Nevada at the time.  The mob didn't like Harry Reid and they even tried to kill him with a car bomb at one point which would have succeeded if the bomb hadn't malfunctioned when detonated.  Reid was constantly receiving death threats from the mob while he fought their criminal grip on the state's gambling enterprise.  Eventually, Reid's toughness prevailed and the mob, for all intent and purpose, was pretty much run out of Nevada.

Reid then of course, went on to higher public office, eventually becoming Senate majority leader in an 8-year stint starting in 2007.

So now - knowing all of that about Reid.  This is the bad ass sonofabitch of a man that Drumpf decided to fuck with yesterday with his mean girls taunt about Reid's exercise machine injuries.  And you know damn well what comes next -- yep -- a bolo, uppercut punch so hard from Reid to little dapper Donny's jutting, elitist chin, that Drumpf's orange ferret weave shot 20 feet straight up off the top of his pointy fat head, implanted roots and all, and landed in a matted heap in a dark, dank corner somewhere.

Here's Reid's response in it's entirety:

Donald Trump can make fun of the injury that crushed the side of my face and took the sight in my right eye all he wants - I’ve dealt with tougher opponents than him. I may not be able to see out of my right eye, but with my good eye, I can see that Trump is a man who inherited his money and spent his entire life pretending like he earned it.
In Searchlight, we learned a thing or two about hard work that Trump may not have learned at his boarding school.
Trump rips off working people with scams like Trump University. And while the people he ripped off suffer, Trump sits at the posh resort he bought with his daddy’s money, with no understanding of the misery he caused.
Now, Trump’s business interests in foreign countries and his Ponzi-scheme fraud of a ‘charity’ make clear that Trump intends to scam all of America just like he rips off hard-working people.
Trump can insult me all he wants but the American people deserve answers to these questions:
Why did Trump appear to use his charity to enrich himself and bribe elected officials who were investigating his scams?
Why does Trump refuse to cut ties with business interests that would allow him to exploit American foreign policy to enrich himself?
What is Trump hiding in his tax returns?
If Trump wants to be president, he should be properly vetted. If Senator McConnell and Speaker Ryan had the public’s interest at heart, they would lead the Republican Congress to investigate these and other questions with a fraction of the energy and taxpayer money Congressional Republicans used to pursue Huma Abedin’s maternity leave records. But Senator McConnell and Speaker Ryan want to leave town for another two months, just a few weeks after returning from the longest summer recess in more than half a century. And the Republican Congress has shown nothing but blind obedience to Trump, going so far as to hold a Supreme Court seat open for six months in the hopes that Trump can fill it.
If the Republican Congress refuses to do its job, the media has an even greater responsibility to get answers to these questions.
We know how to spot a con artist in Las Vegas."
And Donald Trump is a con-artist."

Now obviously that is going to leave one helluva thick, rubber skid mark on Drumpf's pasty-white, greasy backside, but that be told, the real story here is how the right wing in this country is so ass-backward fucked up in their mindset and views that they would much prefer to support a spoiled-rotten, immature 70 year old rich boy who has never had to work for anything in his worthless, parasitic life, and instead project their confused hate on a guy like Reid who is the quintessential poster child of the American kid who literally fought and clawed his way out of abject poverty to the pinnacle of success -- the true American hero story.

But Drumpf, for what ever god-forsaken rationalization, impresses the conservative right wingers to no end --- and as such just the mere thought of them getting their way by seeing the thin-skinned, venomous, tiny fingered, Cheeto-faced, ferret wearing shitgibbon actually ascend to power scares the living shit out of The Gadfly, and it ought to as well for anyone else who actually gives a flying fuck about the future of this country and representative democracy as we know it.

In closing, The Gadfly lovingly dedicates the following song to little Dappper Donny asshole and his pathetic brigade of asshole munchkin supporters:

Will Drumpf And His Minions Listen To These Generals? . . . Highly Doubtful . . .

[ click pic to enlarge ]

When it comes to The Gadfly's visceral feelings toward right wing conservatives in this country, a great deal of that animus stems from their outright, childishly stubborn denial that man-made climate change is real and their harebrained claims that the reputable, settled science is all just some liberal orchestrated hoax to take away their freedoms.

Which brings us to this:

A bipartisan group of military experts released a statement and two reports today arguing that climate change poses a significant risk to U.S. national security.
The statement, released by the bipartisan group Climate Security Consensus project, argues that the effects of climate change will put a strain on water, food and energy supplies, which can result in "unique and hard-to-predict security risks."
"The effects of climate change present a strategically-significant risk to U.S. national security and international security," the statement, signed by a bipartisan group of 25 national security and military leaders including Dr. Geoffrey Kemp, former special assistant to President Reagan for national security affairs and Dov S. Zakheim, former undersecretary of defense under President George W. Bush, said.
The statement argued that the "U.S. must advance a comprehensive policy for addressing this risk."
Some of the climate change risks to international security include "the likelihood of intra or international conflict, state failure, mass migration, and the creation of additional ungoverned spaces," the statement added.

Gee -- Imagine that . . . a bipartisan group of national security and military leaders are not only acknowledging the reality of climate change, but they are also sending up the warning flags about how it likely is going to result in "intra or international conflict, state failure, mass migration."  And if anyone is under the illusion that "intra or international conflict, state failure, mass migration" isn't going to impact their's and their loved one's lives, you truly do need to please pull your ginormous head out of your ass right now and start paying attention to this shit.

What really infuriates The Gadfly on this subject is the rank selfishness and willful ignorance from those on the right whose stiff-necked intransigence is based almost entirely on misguided loyalty to their narrow-minded ideology along with an almost infantile like, belligerent resistance to admitting that there is any possibility that they just might be dead wrong on the issue.  This immaturity has not only the potential to bring future misery and eventual harm to conservatives themselves, but also to millions of other humans -- others, like The Gadfly and his loved ones -- and that, quite frankly dear readers, is something The Gadfly is absolutely not willing to, in any way, shape or form, compromise about.

Now, it goes without saying that The Gadfly is in no way of the belief that the right wing dipshits in this country will pay any more attention to what these very serious military and national security people are screaming from the rooftops in regard to climate change, any more than they have paid attention to dirty liberal hippies like The Gadfly who have been ringing that alarm bell for years -- but there's always that tiny sliver of hope.

And the hope begins with keeping climate-change denying morons like Drumpf out of power, and voting for politicians, Republicans or Democrats, who demonstrate evidence of their own sanity by publicly acknowledging the reality of man-made climate change and the catastrophic effects that it presently is having on our planet and which will only worsen if urgent action is not taken to address it.

The Gadfly cannot speak on behalf of anyone but his self, but if you truly love your children and grandchildren and family and friends and you truly care about their future quality of life, you would do well to take The Gadfly's humble advice and start getting involved, start making your viewpoints known, start taking a stand.  The longer people sit around wringing their hands and being wishy-washy undecideds about this subject, the closer to human quietus we get and once we arrive at that point, it's game over for everyone.

Nothing That an Orange Jump Suit and a 4 Bunk, 8x8 Prison Cell Can't Fix ....

[ click pic to enlarge ]

Business as usual among the banksters:

Less than a week after Wells Fargo was slapped with a historic $185 million fine to settle customer fraud allegations, CEO John Stumpf is starting to open up about the scandal.
But instead of taking responsibility for what’s been described as a “pressure-cooker sales culture,” Stumpf seems to be blaming low-level Wells Fargo employees for opening up millions of fake bank and credit card accounts and billing customers for services and products they didn’t request.

And let's keep in mind -- this slimy scam would have gone undetected had it not been for the vigilance of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the independent agency that was Sen. Elizabeth Warren's conception as an antidote to the 2008 financial collapse which occurred as a direct result of rampant corruption and thievery in the U.S. financial services sector.

It should be noted as well that the CFPB is the agency that Republicans, including Herr Drumpf, desperately want to, and have been continually trying to exterminate as a favor to their Wall Street overlords.

Suffice to say -- the day that Drumpf and his supporters call for mandatory life sentences for these banking and Wall Street criminals is the day that The Gadfly will give a flying fuck what their views are as to what is best for the future of this country.

If It's In A Letter, By God It Must Be True . . .

Another letter?  What is it with these Drumpfies and their penchant for chucking single-page letters out in to the public domain as evidence of their truthfulness on matters?

Melania Trump released a letter on Wednesday from an immigration lawyer asserting that there is "100% certainty" that she immigrated to the United States legally.
"I am pleased to enclose a letter from my immigration attorney which states that, with 100% certainty, I correctly went through the legal process when arriving in the USA," she tweeted.

Signed,  Epstein's Mother

Actually The Gadfly took blog owner liberty and added the Epstein's Mother signature there, and for those of you who are old enough to get that joke, and still have enough of a sense of humor left in you, bless your geriatric hearts.

Nonetheless, what's next?  -- Drumpf's spawn collectively releasing a letter from the family human biologist proclaiming that they are most definitely terrestrial life forms and not alien versions of Children of the Corn?

[ click pic to enlarge ]

BTW -- Drumpf's Dr. Vinny Boom Bots doctor letter is still the gold standard for utter bullshit being presented to the public as authentic evidence of some disingenuous claim or another.

Someone Struck a Delicate FeeFees Nerve . . . And It's About Goddamn Time...

[ click pic to enlarge ]

The Gadfly thinks it is pretty fucking hilarious watching Drumpf and his surrogates and supporters all have a collective case of the 'oh dear is me' vapors over Hillary's "deplorable" comment.

For the sake of review and proper context, here's HRC's full statement:

"You know, just to be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people – now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric. Now some of these folks, they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America. But the other basket–and I know this because I see friends from all over America here–I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas–as well as, you know, New York and California–but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change. It doesn't really even matter where it comes from. They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they're in a dead end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well."
(h/t to Charlie Pierce @

The Gadfly has analyzed that statement 7 different ways from Sunday and for the life of him he is unable to decipher what in the world all of the hand wringing is all about.

Plainly translated, what Clinton said was that around half of Drumpf's supporters are just as like-minded (racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic) as Drumpf is himself and that the other half are essentially good people who have simply lost faith in their political leaders and government and out of desperation to see change that might better their economic and social status and quality of life, they've decided to roll the dice and throw their lot in with the celebrity carnival barker and his traveling freak show.

There is no debate, based on all of the available, amply documented evidence, that Donald Drumpf is indeed a deplorable, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamophobic sleazy businessman and consummate con artist who has parlayed his "famous" celebrity name into a frighteningly viable shot at becoming the leader of the world's, arguably at this juncture, greatest representative democracy.  Therefore it stands to reason that like-minded people, and clearly this country has quite a few of them, would be attracted to Drumpf's deplorable and not so very covert messaging and public behavior.

Frankly speaking dear readers, The Gadfly is kind of upset that HRC sandbagged her estimate by stating that only "half" of Drumpf's supporters fell in to the "deplorable" category.  The Gadfly, if he had his say in the matter, would peg that number closer to two thirds, and if time and space in this shitty little blog format permitted it, The Gadfly could post reams of on the record statements, and literally hours of video and audio footage of Drumpf, his hired thug surrogates and a great many of his unfathomably ignorant supporters comporting themselves in quite a "deplorable" manner -- a manner that succinctly put -- is unbecoming of decent human beings.

And just to preemptively engage The Gadfly's slack jawed detractors who feel inclined to screech - "hey Gadfly, you ain't posting no examples of deplorable behavior by our hero Drumpf and we, his supporters, because you ain't got none! --- neener, neener!"

To which (heavy sigh) The Gadfly would duly respond:

Drumpf, early on,  publicly announced that he questioned Obama's birthplace and smugly boasted on national tv that he had sent private investigators to Hawaii to look in to Obama's birth certificate and his investigators were reporting back to their boss that they "cannot believe what they are finding." Of course Drumpf never produce these seemingly amazing "findings" to the public but he most certainly had no qualms about reaping the praise and admiration of the right wing Obama haters and racists for sticking it to the darkie president and thus helping launch his wingnut quest for the presidency.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Drumpf broad-brush labeled illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America as a bunch of rapists, killers and drug runners, when in FACT, the vast majority are women and children fleeing economic and political repression in their own countries.  His supporters unanimously agreed with him and have openly demonized these people.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Drumpf exhorts his goon supporters to violence by stating he would personally like to punch protesters in the face and that in the good old days protesters would be carried out on stretchers and that he would gladly put up the bail money to anyone who beats up peaceful protesters.  To nobody's surprise, quite a few of his supporters have resorted to violence against protesters, and others, and even more of those supporters have loudly and lustily approved of the violence.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Drumpf winked and nodded and told his supporters that they always have the option of the 2nd Amendment solution (gun solution) to prevent Hillary Clinton from performing her constitutionally bestowed presidential duties should she be fairly elected.  Drumpf's bloodthirsty followers in the crowd at his rally that night cheered wildly upon hearing that statement and gave him a standing ovation.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Drumpf's business ventures, with a specialty in bankrupting casinos and walking away with suitcases full of money, impress his supporters.  Drumpf has a long history of stiffing small businesses that do work for him, stiffing workers on pay for work performed for him and of using his wealth to lawyer up and bully anyone who dares to exercise their right to seek justice against him and his unethical business conduct through legal action.  And his supporters don't even bat an eyelash about such scummy behavior.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Drumpf has openly expressed his admiration for former Russian KGB agent and now Russian dictator/"President" Vladimir Putin and even gone so far as to publicly proclaim that in his view Putin is a better leader than the American president Obama because Putin has "very strong control" over his country unlike Obama.  Of course, never mind the niggling FACT that Putin's "very strong control" involves conveniently arranging for the untimely deaths of his political opponents as well as any journalists who defy him and ruling over his people and government through iron-fisted fear and intimidation.  Drumpf also has a myriad of personal business interests that can be tied directly to Russian oligarchs - oligarchs who would love nothing more than to see American democracy subjugated to their totalitarian will.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Drumpf's campaign manager Steve Bannon is a white nationalist race-baiter.  One of his closest advisers, Roger Ailes, is a serial workplace sexual predator.  An appalling number of his television surrogates like Katrina Pierson, Pastor Mark Burns and Marco Gutierrez appear to be nothing more than randomly selected mouthpieces hired solely based on their outspoken, loud mouth support of Drumpf, but who in fact are a literal freak show parade of bottom feeding fringe lunatics with highly questionable personal integrity and employment credentials.  That, dear readers, is fucking DEPLORABLE!

Lastly (at least for the sake of closing out this post) --

For the past few weeks Drumpf has had his creepy surrogates blanketing the cable tv "news" shows and spreading vicious conspiracy theories and innuendo about Hillary Clinton's physical (and specifically neurological) health.  Based on The Gadfly's previous post in which it was shown how Drumpf paid off some quack "doctor" to write him a completely and comically bullshit quack letter about his own supposedly "astonishingly excellent" state of health, that, dear readers, is the quintessential motherfucking definition of the word DEPLORABLE!

In summary, as far as The Gadfly is concerned, Clinton was dead-spot on in her assessment of the moral caliber of a sizable portion of Drumpf's followers.  And not only should she not back down one single inch from that statement, she should duct tape it to a sledgehammer and pound that smarmy fucker Drumpf over his ferret-wearing head with it until he cries uncle like the whining little bitch that he surely is.  And Drumpf's followers can all go fuck themselves if they find that view "deplorable."

And that dear readers, is about all that The Gadfly has to say on this deplorable subject.

**Standard Gadfly Disclaimer**:  The Gadfly's support of Hillary Rodham Clinton extends principally to the point where if HRC is the sole alternative to a phony, short cheeto-fingered, ferret wearing shitgibbon, and fascist dictator wannabe, then The Gadfly has no issues with being labeled a Clinton supporter.

The Gadfly Would Hate to Meet His Proctologist . . .

The justifications for the evidence that Donald J. Drumpf is manifestly unfit to be leader of the free world continue to compound themselves on a daily basis and with every utterance that spews forth from the very large and intellectually vacuous mouth of the cheeto-fingered, ferret wearing shitgibbon.

But The Gadfly would like to go back just a few weeks here, forget the crap of the past several days, back to something that occurred which, had it happened with any other Democratic, or Republican presidential candidate in recent memory, would have destroyed that candidacy in one fell swoop.

Let's review shall we, the wholly bizarre and fantastically bullshit story surrounding Drumpf's doctor's letter, from last December, and only now getting some attention, which purportedly attests to his 'yooooogely' terrific physical fitness for the office to which he aspires.

Let us take a measured, thorough look at this amazing letter and the dishearteningly absent implications (thank you American useless fucking media!) for this presidential race.

Here is the full letter from Trump's doctor:

[ click on letter to enlarge ]

Allow The Gadfly to begin his analysis from the top mkay -- because the bullshit starts right out of the starting gate.

So let us, for sake of argument agree that, as stated in the very first sentence of the letter body, that Harold N. Bornstein, M.D., P.C.  has been Donald Drumpf's "personal physician since 1980."  Ok -- no issues there.  And that Harold Bornstein's father Jacob was Drumpf's previous physician - ok - fine.  So the father and son doctors have a shared practice and both have had Mr. Drumpf as their patient -- no big deal right?

Except for one little anomaly -- Dr. Jacob Bornstein has been deceased (as in dead, as in dearly departed, as in kicked the bucket, as in corpus delecti) since 2010.  So why does a dead doctor's name still appear on the letterhead of a serious physician's formal correspondence?  The Gadfly calls BULLSHIT on this one.

Oh but The Gadfly is just getting started with the freakish spectacle of this letter dear readers.  Shall we go on?

Next in the letterhead we see the standard address, phone and fax numbers of the living/dead doctor duo's practice.  Totally normal (once again, if not for the doctor dad being 6 years dead).  But next  up we have something that is completely abnormal --- Dr. Bornstein puts his email as  Now -- every professional analysis of this very strange letter that the Gadfly has read to date is unanimous in the view that a medical professional who is using the unsecure email platform of Google email as a method of communicating with either their patients or other medical professionals, completely flies in the face of the HIPAA law which is 20 year old federal legislation, that among other things, provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding people's medical information.

A medical professional using Gmail is utterly ridiculous.  No physician in their right mind, or who is a serious, no bullshit medical professional, would ever think of using Gmail as a communication platform in their practice.  So the Gadfly is going to call BULLSHIT! on that part of this goofy letter too.

Next we see the website address of Dr. Bornstein listed as  Ok -- Doctors aren't prohibited from advertising their practice's web sites - right?  Funny thing about Dr. Bornstein's website though -- when you click on it (and please try it for yourself) you get redirected instantly to a website selling an annoying, birthday singing Teddy Bear.  Imagine that!  And remember, this letter was purportedly written by a medical professional and offered up by Mr. Drumpf and his surrogates to the American public and press as a thoroughly legitimate and serious document.  The Gadfly calls BULLSHIT! on the website too.

Ok -- so that is the nonsense that exists just in the letter head alone kids.  Let us move on to the body of the letter itself now, shall we?

After the first sentence stating that the Bornstein dead father/living son doctor duo have been Drumpf's physicians (the son since 1980), we come to the next sentence which states:

"Over the past 39 years, I am pleased to report that Mr. Trump has had no significant medical problems."

It is now 2016, 39 years puts Mr. Drumpf's medical record as being unblemished since 1977 - 3 years before Harold Bornstein says he became Drumpf's full-time physician.  But let's not quibble about those 3 measly little years mkay? .. there's better stuff to pick apart here.  Oh -- btw -- just curious -- The Gadfly wonders how Dr. Bornstein would define the words "significant" and "problems" in that statement ... just asking.

Next the letter goes on to state:

"Mr. Trump has had a recent complete medical examination that showed only positive results.  Actually, his blood pressure, 110/65 and laboratory test results were astonishingly excellent."

Some simple follow up questions might be helpful here.  How "recent" was the exam?  Last week?  Last month?  Last year?  And what about those lab results?  If Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and Mitt Romney's doctors could release their patient's lab results (which all three did while they were (and are) presidential candidates) in their letters, why can't Drumpf's doctor release his?  And what kind of doctor uses the phrase "astonishingly excellent" when describing a patient's lab results -- if you ask The Gadfly that term sounds amazingly uncanny like it could have come straight out of the braggart Drumpf's mouth his self.  The Gadfly calls astonishingly manufactured BULLSHIT! on this statement.

Let's move on in the letter:

"Over the past twelve months, he has lost at least fifteen pounds.  Mr. Trump takes 81 mg of aspirin daily and a low dose of statin.  His PSA test score is 0.15 (very low).  His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary."

LOL!  Ok - so Drumpf has lost a few pounds over a year's time, takes an aspirin a day to keep the doctor away, takes a low does of cholesterol medication and has had a normal prostate (PSA) exam.  Whoop-dee-fucking-doo.  That kind of trivial information is not helpful to people when it comes to assessing a candidate's physical fitness for one of the most, if not most, important and seriously stressful jobs in the world - POTUS.  That crap is just filler/fluff info to make the letter appear more important than what it is.  And as far as Drumpf's "physical strength and stamina" being assessed as "extraordinary," The Gadfly wants to know what kind of testing was performed which prompted the good "doctor" to make that audacious claim.  As such, all be told about this entire statement, once again The Gadfly calls BULLSHIT!

And then we come to the final two paragraphs of this astonishingly BULLSHIT! letter:

"Mr. Trump has suffered no form of cancer, has never had a hip, knee or shoulder replacement or any other orthopedic surgery.  His only surgery was an appendectomy at age ten.  His cardiovascular status is excellent.  He has no history of ever using alcohol or tobacco products.

If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."

Other than the cancer thing, the other crap is all superfluous drivel.  Orthopedic issues and minor surgeries (he really had to mention the 60 year old appendectomy?? OMG!--LOL!) have never been a litmus test for qualifications of the presidency.  FDR was crippled with polio and he somehow managed to steer America, during 12 years of his presidency, out of the Great Depression and to victory over the Nazis in WW2 -- oh and believe it or not, the man actually had a cigarette and a stiff drink now and then while doing so.

Sigh ... and now we come to the merciful closing of the good "doctor's" letter - but even here we get another load of BULLSHIT!

"Dr." Bornstein signs the letter as such:

"Harold N. Bornstein, M.D., F.A.C.G.
Department of Medicine, Section of Gastrointerology
Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY"

Seems like a normal signature line --- unless of course one is an enterprising sleuth who likes to gather facts to either support or refute certain claims.  And lo and behold - someone did actually follow up on it and looked in to it.

Another physician decided to check out the doctor's claim of being part of the “section of gastroenterology” at Lennox Hill hospital   He isn't.  There is no such "section."  There is a "division" of gastroenterology at that hospital to which The Gadfly's detractors will screech -- "you see it's just semantics!!! you're just out to get poor Donald Mr. Gadfly!" .... but alas, the good doctor, as is the case, is not part of that "division" either.  Also -- the F.A.C.G. stands for Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.  Somebody checked on that too.  Bornstein hasn't had membership in that organization since 1995 and they have kindly requested he stop putting the letters in his signature line of his correspondence considering he hasn't been credentialed by them for 21 years.

So now that it has been fairly clearly established that Drumpf's doctor's letter is a steaming pile of fabricated BULLSHIT!! -- the biggest question that comes to The Gadfly's mind is -- why?  Why would Drumpf go to such lengths to deceive the American public about his health.  Is it like with his taxes -- that there is information so damaging in it's truthfulness that it would utterly destroy his credibility (not like he hasn't destroyed it already with his boorish and ignorant rantings to date)?  What is he hiding.  Inquiring Gadflies want to know.

In summary, The Gadfly is going to offer up this simple observation.  It's kinda of interesting and supremely ironic that Drumpf's primary care physician of 30 years is a Gastroenterologist which The Gadfly's hand-dandy web dictionary defines as:

  1. the branch of medicine that deals with disorders of the stomach and intestines.

It makes complete, unequivocal sense that Drumpf has as his primary care doctor someone whose specialty is treating patients who are mainfestly full of shit on the inside.

Oh -- and btw -- go watch this Rachel Maddow clip where she analyze's the thoroughly hilarious and yet also frightening interview that NBC News did with Drumpf's doctor.  Jeebus almighty.  Drumpf's doctor is either Rodney Dangerfield's mythical doctor, Dr. Vinnie Boombotz, or he's some asshat who took one too many acid trips in the 60's and somehow still managed to get issued a medical license.
