“The thing that disappoints everybody who supported Trump before he got into office was one of his big things that everybody agreed with was no more war,” Rogan said on the latest episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” with comedian Colum Tyrrell. “Like please, that sounds great.”
Rogan said voters had long assumed that the “military-industrial complex” pushes the country into unnecessary conflicts."
The half-dozen or so times that I have watched Joe Rogan talking on his show about things where he fancies himself to be knowledgeable on the subject matter at hand, I've come away wondering even more how it is that this guy has so many followers, and all I can come up with is that apparently bro-talk bullshit sells very well to the bro podcast crowd, and the simple, boring truth doesn't.
It's quite interesting that lying the country into war with Iran is the line in the sand moment for Joe Rogan as it relates to his ongoing support of the dirty old mobster and his friend, DonOld Drumpf.
I don't recall any public backlash from Rogan when on Drumpf's first day back in office he pardoned all 1600+ of the January 6th convicted thugs and seditionists.
Nor has Joe had much to say about the spastic tariffs and trade wars that have helped torpedo our economy and put millions of Americans in a bad way economically, which when you think about it, is not surprising considering Rogan's own multi-millionaire wealth.
Nor has Rogan seemed to have been bothered about the massive amount of corruption and graft taking place out of the White House by Drumpf, his family members, and their cronies at America's expense.
Rogan has been wrong on issue after issue over the years, dumbly wrong (Covid for ie.), and the fact that he supported and promoted Drumpf for POTUS in 2024 AFTER Drumpf had become a convicted felon, AFTER he had been adjudicated a rapist by a US court in the E. Jean Carroll case, and AFTER he had violently attempted to overthrow the 2020 election, calls into question Rogan's own judgment and casts a long shadow on his own character.
More than anything, it tells me that Joe Rogan is not a serious individual. He is one of many online 'entertainers' with big platforms, big mouths, and shitty MAGA-friendly opinions, and those opinions regardless of Rogan's meaningless celebrity fame and wealth, aren't worth a bucket of warm spit in the reality-based world.
Not that Rogan doesn't have the right to spew his unserious opinions in the media and make a lucrative living off of the unthinking chumps and patsies who buy into it, I am only saying that upon close inspection, most of the guy's opinions are not worth a bucket full of warm human saliva. That is all.
Joe Rogan is essentially a dumb guy's idea of an intelligent, well-informed guy, and if that perspicuous equation doesn't explain it well enough, I'm not sure how else to put it to make it any clearer.
Sadly, we are in an age where picking up and reading a book to learn more not only of world and human histor, but also other subjects and current events, has been replaced by a 'vast wasteland' of young Americans (mostly young men) getting a sizable portion of their worldly knowledge and information from know-nothing chuckle-heads like Joe Rogan and other internet "influencer" podcaster types whose views they have found themselves attracted to for God knows what reason.
The bottom line, whether Joe Rogan acknowledges it or not, is that Drumpf did take this country to war with Iran by his choice.
DonOld had been advised by wiser military and intelligence people to NOT do it. He ignored those advisors, got rid of them, and instead listened to others - others such as wanted war criminal and indicted criminal in his own country Bibi Netanyahu, the now deceased warmonger Lindsey Graham, that cartoon-villain, Rambo wannabe Pete Hegseth, and right-wing "influencers" (there's that dirty word again).
The fallout that will come to America and Americans as a result of that ill-advised choice as Don and Bibi's 'Big Iran Armageddon Adventure' spirals further out of control and the desperation and panic sets in will be incalculable if it plays out to it's full damaging potential.
And make no mistake about it. The Americans most responsible for that damage will those like Joe Rogan and others who helped put a clearly inept and corrupt larcenist and arsonist like Drumpf back in office in 2024 with their public support of him.
Let's hope that all of the votes are fairly and lawfully counted in this midterm election and that once all is said and done, wiser Americans will have chosen to take governing power away from these nihilistic, morally bankrupt, pedophile-protecting, Drumpf enabling MAGA Republicans and put some adults back in charge who are answerable and accountable to the American people instead of a crooked, lying, dying, wretchedly insane old mobster.
And also, let's stop listening to and allowing our views and public discourse to be "influenced" by incessantly wrong, self-serving, meathead clods like Joe Rogan.
