It was always Drumpf's intention to hijack the 250th anniversary of America's inception as a nation of free men to promote himself and his execrable, un-American MAGA fascism movement.
The dirty old, kiddie-diddling mobster attempted to pass off his 'Great American State Fair' as a non-partisan gathering to celebrate 250 years of American democracy by announcing a concert with several name acts on the bill.
The problem was that these musical artists who Drumpf announced would play at this event discovered pretty quickly that Drumpf and his MAGA apparatchiks were going to use them and their musical brands to promote himself and his MAGA ideology at this gathering, an event that was supposed to be non-partisan and for ALL Americans.
Once it became clear what Drumpf and his people were up to, eight of the nine music acts, with the exception of Vanilla Ice (loser), who Drumpf announced were going to be playing at his 'Great American State Fair' announced that they would not be playing at the event, and several of them issued public statements stating that Drumpf and his people essentially deceived them about what the event was going to be about and that it was the deciding factor for their decision to not participate:

President Trump has suggested that an event celebrating America's 250 birthday should instead be a Make America Great Again rally after many of the artists who were announced to perform dropped out.
The Great American State Fair, which is set to begin on June 25 on the National Mall, had featured artists such as Martina McBride, Morris Day and the Time, The Commodores and Poison's Bret Michaels — who have all since withdrawn from the lineup.
McBride explained why she decided to not to be part of the fair, writing in a social media post she was presented with an opportunity to perform at "a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading."
"In my mind I thought this was a great way to celebrate the states and also bring people together in the way that only music can. I saw it as just a bigger version of so many state fairs I have performed at over the years, celebrating community and what makes each state special," McBride wrote in the post on Thursday night. "Yesterday things started changing and what we were told is, in fact, not what is happening."
And of course, little Donny, being completely incapable of dealing with rejection like an adult, responded as the childish, self-aggrandizing jerk that he is:
"In a social media post on Saturday, Trump called the performers who backed away from the event "Third Rate" and said he will give a speech that will rally the U.S. "forward like I have done ever since being President!" Later on Saturday, Trump wrote in another social media post that the event should be canceled and replaced with a rally."
Essentially, after nearly all of the musical "guests" bailed on his 'Great American State Fair' concert, DonOld has a hissy fit and whines about the performers who dropped out, calling them "third rate" entertainers, which of course begs the question of why he would announce the engagement of "third rate" entertainers with such great fanfare to begin with.
So in a pique of indignant rage, DonOld then says, "screw it,"and says that he's just going to go ahead and have a good old-fashioned MAGA klan rally with himself as the star attraction instead as his way of 'honoring' a quarter of a millennium of existence of the United States of America, which btw is exactly what he had wanted to do from the beginning until the music acts fucked up his plan by backing out.
If the lying, crooked old gangster had just been up front from the beginning about what he was planning to do with this 'Great American State Fair' business buffoonery, he could have avoided the humiliation of rejection when all of these "third rate" musical artists told him to fuck off and that they wanted no part of his tainted plans.
But DonOld is DonOld, and taking 'no' for an answer like a reasonable adult is not a skillset that the conniving, filthy old, kiddie-diddling mobster has ever been in possession of.
