The Gadfly never could understand the fawning by the media villagers, and even some liberals, over the beached whale...er...Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie.
Why, The Gadfly asks? Just because Christie hugged Obama and said some nice things about the President in the wake of the Federal Government's pledge to assist Christie's state in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy?
Others claim they appreciate Christie's "bluntness" and "no-nonsense" gruffness toward the press, and his willingness to not suck up to the leaders in his own Republican party.
All of to which The Gadfly would respond to those people -- "you really don't know much of anything about Chris Christie and his career path then do you?" This guy has a paper trail of corruption and ethics troubles as voluminous as the girth of his flabby gut. He is also a bully who can dish out the abuse, but cries like a jilted schoolgirl when on the receiving end of criticism of his self.
Well -- it appears that people are going to start finding out now just how much of a conniving bully and a political thug Chris Christie really is.

For the last month, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) acted like the controversy surrounding Fort Lee and the George Washington Bridge was trivia. He was unfazed, laughing off questions, telling reporters, “It’s just not that big a deal.” As it turns out, now that the scandal has been tied directly to the governor’s office, Christie’s posture has changed.
After the emails were released on Wednesday, Mr. Christie canceled his one public event for the day, which had been billed as an announcement of progress in the recovery from Hurricane Sandy.

Yes - imagine that.
If these new e-mails bear up under scrutiny, it paints a pretty damning picture of Chris Christie, would-be Presidential contender. In fact, The Gadfly feels that should all of this bridge closing business, in fact, be tied directly back to Christie himself, it is a damning indictment that not only is Christie unfit for public office in any official capacity, but that he also would be much better suited to the position of Consigliere for the Genovese or Gambino crime families.
The Gadfly is primarily interested in this story for the simple reason that the mainstream media seems to have some type of twisted man-crush on Christie, which, once again, underscores The Gadfly's disdain and mistrust of the mainstream media and their penchant for not providing the full story and truth to the American people.
The Gadfly remembers all too fucking well what the outcome was the last time we allowed the media to influence voters in to electing a regular guy who folks would enjoy having a beer with.
Do your due diligence research dear readers. All is not as it is portrayed by your corporate media.
