Yes -- because the act of trying to help as many of your citizens gain access to basic, affordable health care is just exactly the same as Soviet dictator Stalin's purges wherein millions were slaughtered as well as being just as evil as crushing freedom and liberty under the jack boot of tyranny.
If Louie Gohmert were the only buffoon in the GOP ranks spouting idiotic shit like this, The Gadfly wouldn't pay him much attention. But that is not the case -- the indisputable fact is that these days, the people who do think like Gohmert, make up the core of the Republican and Tea Party base.
And as such, you now have The Gadfly's motivation as to why he started this shitty little blog to begin with.
Quite often The Gadfly feels like Sisyphus pushing the massive boulder up the hill in having to confront these lunatics and their venom on a constant basis, but goddamn it - somebody has got to do it.
