When The Vanquishing of Rational Thought Becomes The Crowning Achievement of an Election . . . .

Additional evidence that the state of Texas is in the midst of a massive, uncontrollable epidemic of mad-cow disease (they do consume a lot of beef in that state) which has infected the human population (mostly conservatives curiously) and is rotting their brains from the inside out:

Translation:  I Steve Stockman deny to the reporters at Breitbart.com that the Houston Chronicle story about my mystery income of $350k from a mystery company that nobody seems to know anything about and which has been confirmed by Breitbart's own investigation, has one iota of truth to it . . . . . 'cuz  . . . . . FREEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM! .... or something along those lines.

To summarize more broadly - Stockman is the Teabagger darling who this week publicly announced that he is challenging not-quite-as-batshit-crazy current Senator John Cornyn for his seat, and wherein if he wins, it would give the Lone Star state the frightening distinction of having both of it's senators (Ted Cruz) be prime candidates on the short list for involuntary admission to the nearest maximum security facility for the criminally insane.

Cornyn is in trouble.  Stockman's loony toons credentials are top-notch, his penchant for obfuscation and dazzling dishonesty (what $350,000 salary?), and the conservative voters of Texas long ago checked out of the Reality-Based Universe Hotel (as evidenced by Louie Gohmert's 4 congressional terms), so that makes Cornyn deliciously ripe for a Tea Party plucking.

Regardless of the outcome of the Cornyn/Stockman cage match, there are quite likely to be some entertaining moments as the Tea Party attempts to consolidate it's intra-party power further by crushing the scrotum sac of the hapless John Boehner and his ragged, remaining gaggle of establishment Republicans, who by all accounts, are still under the cute, albeit ludicrous delusion that the Teabaggers are not actually insane, goose-stepping nihilists, but just misunderstood patriots in need of some GOP lovin'.

Pass the popcorn.
