Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day to all of you Dads out there.  Lord knows you all deserve your day of recognition.

I for one, can only hope that with all of my flaws and defects and grumpiness and craziness and .... well you get the picture .... that I have at least made some form of positive impact on my kid's lives.  I can't promise that I'll ever change and magically overnight become the Leave It To Beaver dad that some consider to be the ideal father figure, but just know that I love you all in my own way and I hope you can understand that.  And besides -- you only have around 25 (give or take a couple)  more years to put up with me - so just deal with it. [hehehehe]

Sad little (I hate to even refer to them as) men . . .

What is it with these white, right-wing Republican males and their fetish-like obsession with violent imagery?  I mean - I get the part about their gun waving bullshit being nothing more than extensions of their small penises and which compensate for their failure to overcome puberty, much less reach the level of manhood.  That said though - doesn't it strike you a bit odd that their infantile fascination with Obama, other than trying to prove his Kenyan birthplace, revolves almost entirely around their premature ejaculating fantasy of seeing his dirty negro ass riddled with bullets?

Montana GOP Convention Features ‘Obama Library’ Riddled With Fake Bullet Holes

Outside the Montana state Republican Party convention this weekend was an outhouse labeled the “Obama Presidential Library” and covered in painted-on bullet holes.

Inside the outhouse contained a fake birth certificate for Barack Hussein Obama, according to the Helena Independent Record.

Every day I wake up in a shitty mood just knowing that these fuckheads are fellow citizens of mine.

Lesson #1 in How To Handle Tyrannical Republicans

Michigan Lawmaker Barred From Speaking After Saying ‘Vagina,’ To Perform ‘Vagina Monologues’ At Capital

|

Michigan Rep. Lisa Brown “barred from speaking in the state House after she used the word ‘vagina’ during a debate on an anti-abortion bill will participate in a performance of the Tony Award-winning play, ‘The Vagina Monologues,’ on the state Capitol steps.” Brown was silenced after telling Republicans “she was flattered they were ‘all so concerned about my vagina. But no means no.” The performance is scheduled for Monday night.

Hahaha!  You go girl!!!  That ought to make a few GOP/Christian/Wingnut heads explode en masse - ala the movie 'Scanners':

KABOOM! . . . . . . . .LMFAO.

Love, God, Murder . . . . Johnny Will Tell You all About It...

Took a ride with the wifey down the hill to Rancho Cucamonga and walked around this amazingly gaudy outdoor shopping area called Victoria Gardens. Imagine six square blocks of Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive type shops interspersed with a few hillbilly bbq joints, a JC Penney, a ginormous Macy's and a megalopolous movie theater complex smack dab in the middle of all of it. That's what it looked like to me - but what do I know?

Anyhow, I stopped and went in this one little shop only because I heard some Iron Maiden music screeching from the outdoor speakers at the entrance to it - and if there is anything that is an instant clarion call for me, it's Iron Maiden music. As fate would have it, I found this Johnny Cash shirt. It's his Love, God, Murder shirt. It was the only one there and just happened to be my fat ass size 2XXL. Here's the shirt:

Bought it. It's just damn cool. It represents the primary three themes that permeate the vast majority of Johnny's wonderful history of his songs - Love, God and Murder. There was actually a compilation box set with the same title released by Cash in 2000. Just something cool I ran across and thought I would share.

Anderson Cooper does his job . . . . about fucking time

It's refreshing to see at least a few folks in the Lamestream Media challenging the fact-free "facts" that the GOP lackeys are blathering (with fingers crossed behind their backs) on television every day. It's truly all they have - just constantly and smugly laying on the bullshit and hoping the couch potato goobers don't bother to research to find out if it's true or not:

Now if we can only get the rubes to put down their pork rinds and Xbox controllers long enough to listen to some truthiness, perhaps there's chance for their redemption.  Hmmmmm . . . . after pondering that statement, I must say -- what the fuck was I thinking?  We're talking about human beings who believe the baby Jeebus is gonna come floating down from the sky any day now and whisk them and their fellow suckers up to the Celestial barn dance and also people who passionately believe that Kim Kardashian is a "celebrity."

Sigh . . . . .

Willard and a Tale of the Horse's Ass

Must be a blessing to be able to write off $77,000 dollars on your taxes for care and feeding of your $150,000 Thoroughbred Dressage Horse.

As millions tune in to the Olympics in prime time this summer, just before Mr. Romney will be reintroducing himself to the nation at the Republican convention, viewers are likely to see “up close and personal” segments on NBC about the Romneys and dressage, a sport of six-figure horses and $1,000 saddles. The Romneys declared a loss of $77,000 on their 2010 tax returns for the share in the care and feeding of Rafalca, which Mrs. Romney owns with Mr. Ebeling’s wife, Amy, and a family friend, Beth Meyers.

Please tell me to my face that you totally believe that Willard Romney and his wife are simple, regular ol' folk -  just like you and me - and that they are totally committed to looking out for you and your family's best interests.  Please do so as it will be my justification to then tell you to your face that you are a delusional twit.

Fake It and They Will Come . . .

I'm not sure what to make of this.  The New York Times editorial board has been, up to this point, quite docile in it's criticism of Willard Romney and his "policies."  But boy -- this piece sure breaks the ice on that front:

Mr. Romney’s entire campaign rests on a foundation of short, utterly false sound bites. The stimulus failed. (Three million employed people beg to differ.) The auto bailout was a mistake. (Another million jobs.) Spending is out of control. (Spending growth is actually lower than under all modern Republican presidents.) He says these kinds of things so often that millions of Americans believe them to be the truth.

Short translation:  Romney is a fucking liar and unfortunately America is full of enough stupid and cluelss people for him to get away with the lies.

Not a good omen for the future survival of representative democracy in this nation.

It's Etch-a-Sketch Time!

The only thing Willard has going for him in  his bid to suck up to the Evangelical Taliban, who btw, believe Mormonism is a cult religion, is that they hate that dirty Kenyan, Socialist, Communist nigger in the White People's House even more.  Tell me it's not true.

Mitt Romney has a simple plan to appeal to evangelicals: he pretends he’s Rick Santorum.

The projected Republican nominee, who once chastised Santorum on the primary campaign trail for offering the base cheap thrills with “incendiary comments,” now likes to mimic Santorum when he speaks to evangelicals, a group still somewhat wary of their nominee.

You can state a lot of negative things about Obama and his policies and probably a good amount of it would be true.  But one thing is for certain -- Obama does not need to put on knee pads, drop to his knees and give a sloppy blow job to a wide swath of the public who pretty much hate his guts - whic is exactly what Willard is doing right now with the Christian wingnuts.

Pretty pathetic - and you want this weasel to lead the country??

I'm a Thug, You're a Thug - Wouldn't You Like to be a Thug too?...

I guess that means I'm a thug too in Mitch McTortoise's view simply for being of the belief that the SCOTUS decision, which declared corporations are "people" and which we now see has flooded Washington with even more dirty money than ever, was a direct attack on democracy by the monied elites.

Makes me wonder just who's side these right wing Republicans are on --- certainly not the American people by and large based on all the evidence at hand.

Just Shoot Me Now . . . Uggh!

OMFG!

Thankfully I hadn't eaten breakfast just yet when I saw this putrid pile of dung this morning:

These people are freaks - pure and simple.
