Yikes! Another Chink in The Right's Armor . . .

Whoa!  Looks like the Teabagger business owners are going to have to update their business signs from this:

To this:

June 19 (Bloomberg) -- Asian-Americans have surpassed Hispanics as the fastest-growing group of new immigrants to the U.S. and may provide a boost to Democratic Party hopes in this year's elections, a survey shows.
Among immigrants to the U.S. in 2010, 36 percent were Asian and 31 percent Hispanic, according to the report by the Pew Research Center in Washington. In 2008, 42 percent of immigrants were Hispanic and 33 percent Asian.
Half of Asian-Americans say they're Democrats or lean Democratic, compared with 28 percent who identify with or lean toward Republicans, the report released today shows. Among the general public, Democrats have a 49 percent to 39 percent lead over Republicans.

Just sayin' . . . .

Those Silly Jews . . . If Only They Had Gotten Themselves Some Guns....

Samuel Wurzelbacher, famously known as ‘Joe The Plumber,’ is running for Congress this year on a platform of party-line Republican reforms, including gun control. But while it’s only natural that he would make a campaign advertisement around the issue, the tack he took is rather unusual — Wurzelbacher has a new advertisement in which he says that gun control laws are responsible for the Armenian genocide and the Holocaust of the Jews.

By Golly!  Yes - those dim-witted Jews!  If only they had armed themselves with some handguns and shotguns, that whole Nazi Europe Blitzkrieg/Holocaust thing never would have occurred!

Of course the fact that the European Jews were outnumbered by the Nazis 75 to 1, and were facing one of the worlds (at that time) most formidable, viciously well trained and most heavily armed armies are just minor details to Joe the Bumbler and his fruit shooting fellow boors.

As it is --- Ladies and Gentlemen --- I present to you the 'Dumber than a 5th Grader" mindset of your average, Teabagging moron.

What's even sadder than that video is knowing that this uneducated buffoon stands a very good chance of being elected to public office.

Anyplace But Here mood . . . .

Breath by breath you take
still you're gasping for air
miles and miles you move
into abyss you stare
running form the plight
mighty grip it's hold
and that hunger's hanging on
but never to the fold

With endurance
as the earth behind you burns
you can feel heat
keep your will and never turn

come on, follow closely
come on, end this slavery
come on, where you're going
any place but here

and you pray for more hope
so this will run its course
every day you move
handcuffs they lose their force
abandon all you know
so destitution hides
united in despair
still makes it harder to divide

With exhaustion
as the earth behind you melts
You can feel heat
But your need for living fails

A logical reason for being
Is quickly drifting away
People prove fiendishly greedy
Each time you try to believe

It's hard to be defiant
There's ways to kill the giant
Slaughtered by pins

Have I Ever Told You That Republicrats Suck Too? Oh - Ok ... Well They Do

This is why I am beginning to loathe the Democratic party nearly (not quite nearly - but close enough) as much as the Republicans and for which last year I switched my voting party to Independent.

And please - don't comment to me telling me that in such case I should be gleeful and supportive for the third party alternative - the Tea Party.  Really?  If it hasn't occurred to you yet by reading my earlier views about the teabaggers, I would much rather drop a 75 lb. steel anvil on my bare toes - repeatedly - than vote for one of their Teatard candidates.

Anyhow, it's just all-out fucking depressing.  It makes me at times just want to emigrate to one of the Scandinavian nations where pretty much the entire national citizenry of those countries truly believes in the concept of humanity, national unity, and giving a shit about one another.

And therein hangs a tale: about grassroots Democrats who act like activists, who hold that slaps are sometimes what it takes to get the political job done, and Democratic leaders who act like you can solve all political problems with a hug. Which, pretty much, was Tom Barrett's entire election platform. As I explained here in May, the leading candidate in the primary to face Walker in the recall ran with a take-no-prisoners strategy to restore union rights: she pledged to veto any budget that didn't restore collective bargaining. That meant that if she won the statehouse, Republican legislators in Madison could hold on to their anti-union law only on pain of shutting down the state.
Then, out of nowhere, little more than two months before Election day, a new candidate announced: Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. Two days earlier, he'd had a $400-a-plate fundraising luncheon, closed to the media, hosted by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Here was a signal: Barrett was the Democratic Party Establishment's man. And the Democratic Establishment, in this age of Barack Obama, does things in a very certain way: it never takes any prisoners, never takes the most gutsy path (this is even true for the vaunted "tough guy" Rahm Emanuel, whose standing orders as White House chief of staff was never to take on any fights unless victory was assured in advance).
Barrett immediately announced a different plan to reverse the anti-union law if he became governor: He would call a special legislative session, in which he would introduce a standalone repeal bill. He would make it hard for his side on purpose. He would make the lions lay down with the lambs, Obama style. He would sell himself to the electorate as the peacemaker. He would follow the Bill Clinton strategy, triangulate against his own side. If swing voters hate union cronyism, he would prove he wasn't a union crony. "I'm not the union guy," he would say on the campaign trail – he was the guy the unions didn't want; they even tried to talk him out of running.

The Invasion of The Austerions is Coming . . .

Y'all better start paying attention to this shit - if you have even the slightest interest in the future of your own and your family's economic well being that is.

The eurozone countries — above all, Germany — must face up to the economic and political logic of the single currency they have signed up to: that they stand or fall together and must do whatever it takes to support any and all of its members in difficulty. That means a recapitalisation of troubled banks and the European Central Bank able to act — like the Bank of England can in Britain — as a lender of last resort to support banks and countries in the euro area.

As long as that doubt remains, market confidence will not be restored and this crisis will not be resolved. That deep uncertainty is why last weekend’s bail-out of Spanish banks has not restored market confidence. And it is why, without a proper firewall to stop contagion spreading to other troubled economies such as Spain and Italy, a disorderly Greek exit would be catastrophic not only for Greece but for the rest of Europe and the world economy.

There is no easy option for Greece, given its problems. Difficult reforms are vital. But how can an austerity plan — which has seen recession turn into depression, youth unemployment soar to more than 50 per cent, the economy shrink by six per cent in the last year alone and the national debt grow further — be seen as a success? As even the credit rating agencies now recognise, as Standard and Poor’s puts it, that “austerity alone risks becoming self-defeating”.

I will give you the layman's translation of those three paragraphs above:  "Austerity," forcefully strapped to the already lash-scarred backs of the middle class and working poor, in conjunction with idiot governments delivering truckloads of cash to the Banksters and their criminal friends on Wall St. and the European financial institutions, has, simply put, been one giant cluster fucking FAILURE.  The only people disagreeing with that assessment are the Banksters and financial institution parasites themselves since they're the ones laughing all the way to their own banks.

And now the austerity con men are trying to bring European style austerity to the U.S.  And guess who's just chomping at the bit to shove it down American's throats whether they want it or not?  Oh yeah - our good and patriotic friends in the Republican party - along with gleeful help from their little goose-stepping army of Teabagging dickheads whose collective knowledge of economics and history would get them knocked out in the first round of the TV game show - 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?'

You know -- in a macabre, mischievous and resigned sort of way, I hope Romney wins in November and I hope the Teabaggers gain control of the Senate and Congress.  I'm thinking along the lines of what George Carlin said years ago --- that in order for Americans to get a true understanding of just who it is that owns this country and who it is that also owns them, they are going to need to, unfortunately, suffer terribly - something along the lines of The Great Depression of the 1930's.  Americans are going to need the biggest, widest, hardest red, white and blue dick shoved so far up their asses that it punches a hole right through their belly buttons.  And believe me, it does not take a rocket scientist to come to the realization that the people most capable of pulling off such an incredibly vicious ass fucking are the Republican party, the Teabaggers, the Koch Brothers and the Wall St. criminals all working in unison.

Therefore -- sad as it might be - perhaps it is that kind of sphincter damaging pain which will wake Americans up to the reality of how badly their voting decisions are screwing their own selves over.

Perhaps...

"Job Creators" - my fat ass...

Well, well, well...

I think the bill’s dead,” a transportation industry source said to The Hill on Friday. “I don’t think they can fix what they have in front of them. Kicking it up to the leadership probably gives it a chance…but every time they get to the five-yard line, they move the goal posts back.”
Lawmakers have until June 30 to reach a deal on transportation spending before the current funding mechanism for road and transit projects runs out. [...]
Boxer said that the House lacked “urgency” and “leadership” in the highway negotiations. [House Transportation Committee Chairman John] Mica countered that the Senate “appears unwilling to compromise at all” on House provisions, like mandating the approval of the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline.
This isn’t the first time House Republicans have jeopardized millions of transportation jobs by demanding approval of the pipeline. They threatened to walk away from negotiations early this month for that reason, and in March nearly caused a transportation shutdown before passing a short-term re-authorization. The implications aren’t small: 1.9 million workers will have to walk off the job without re-authorization of highway funds. Senate Democrats estimate that the long-term authorization package will create an additional one million jobs on top of that.

There you go folks!  Your incredible GOP job creators hard at work creating, er, not jobs, but creating something - such as major assholes of themselves as usual.

They will gladly fuck with the lives of 1.9 million construction workers, and tie up critical infrastructure projects, all so they can support their deep pocketed, campaign donor pals in the oil industry and their new pet project - the Keystone XL transcontinental pipeline.  Oh and btw - the most generous estimates state that the XL pipeline project will create possibly up to 4000 new jobs at most and the majority of those jobs will be temporary in nature.

Add to that the fact that the XL pipeline is an environmentally hideous project that does not serve America in any way other than to increase the profit margin for the oil barons and it speaks volumes about who is pulling the strings in the halls of Congress.  Hell - even Fox News is on the record as declaring it a shitty idea:  [Click here for Fox Link].

The fact that the Republicans would keep 1.9 million workers from receiving paychecks to support their families and deliberately delay key U.S. infrastructure projects from progressing forward - SHOULD - tell you everything you need to know about them and who it is that they truly serve - I got news for ya' - it ain't you they serve or give a shit about and the sooner you accept that reality the better all of us will be in the long run.

Just think about it.

Old School Mockery . . .

Love it! This is how you properly mock lying, weasel Republicans:

Can we exhume this guy's corpse and replace Obama with him? Sigh . . . .

Holy [bull]Shit!

This video is disturbing on so many levels, I'm just dumbstruck.

I have news for some folks -- it is not popular opinion, but you might want to think deeply about it.

Do "they" hate us for our freedom?

No - they don't.  The vast majority don't anyhow.

They hate us because of shit like this. Invading their countries and then sending in Christian missionaries in the dual role of combat soldiers to try and convert them. Add to that the shock and awe bombing of their country's infrastructures, which were already third world, back in to the stone age, letting our cowboy contractors shoot up civilians just because they can, and last but not least, giving free access to our slimy mega corporations to rape and pillage their natural resources and you still think they hate us for our freedom? Turn the tables - what if the Russians or the Chinese did the same to us?

How would you feel about that?

Watch the part where the Army Ranger Chaplain talks about proselytizing to boot camp recruits when they are at their most vulnerable -- starving, exhausted both mentally and physically and second guessing themselves. It is a god damned disgusting travesty. That chaplain is employing the exact same tactics that cult leaders use to indoctrinate recruits in to their fold. It's the exact same tactics that extremists like The Taliban and Al Qaeda use to indoctrinate people in to their fucked up causes. This chaplain and his pals even refer to themselves as "The Army of God" for fuck sake!

Is this how people in this country want their military to be trained -- as brain-washed missionaries for the Evangelical, world is flat religious whackos? No thanks. I want no part of it. I hope beyond hope is that this video gets enough exposure so that an unceremonious and abrupt end is put to this unconstitutional bullshit. I have no beef with having my tax dollars spent on training and equipping the most efficient and most powerful military in the world to protect American democracy. What I do have a serious problem with is my tax dollars being spent on creating an "Army" of zombie-eyed bible thumping crusaders for an imaginary sky being.

Fucking assholes.

It's the least all of us can do . . .

Treat your fathers well...

 ----TFG

It's least you dads can do . . .

Father's -- teach your children well:

You, who are on the road must have a code that you can live by.
And so become yourself because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well, their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

And you, of the tender years can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth, they seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well, their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix,the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.
