Had there existed a list of the 1000 worst Americans who could be considered to be the absolute worst choices to put in charge of the entire US military, Pete Hegseth would have been at, or very near the very top of that list, I damn well guarantee it:

Peter Brian Hegseth has no business being where he is at and doing what he is doing.
Hegseth is a right-wing 'DEI hire' disgrace, and the fact that more than half of the current rank and file would rather leave the service than continue serving under him should be seen as a huge red flag for troop morale and readiness.
Let's be clear - Pete Hegseth is more of a big talking, loud talking "culture warrior" than an actual warrior - in other words, the exact kind of person most professionally-trained soldiers would prefer not to have next to them in a combat trench.
Drumpf hired the manifestly unworthy Hegseth because DonOld does not give a flying shit about our military or our troops, and the fact that he installed a high-strung, performative, ethically compromised, Fox "news" weekend talk show co-host with a drinking problem in charge of the entire US military instead of a qualified, experienced leader is proof enough of that.
If Democrats retake control of Congress on Tuesday, one of the first orders of business of the new Congress is to impeach and remove Pete Hegseth from our government and send a message to Drumpf that there's new management in Washington, D.C., and they're not fucking around.
