The first thing to know is Bolsonaro fled Brazil and went to Florida after being ordered to surrender his passports. A justice of that nation’s Supreme Court ordered an investigation into money-laundering and other financial crimes the day after his defeat. It’s unclear how he left Brazil while under the order or whether he arrived with a passport. In any case, he requested political asylum and, according to the AP, his request was immediately granted.
That’s the first thing to know, because here in America, we have been told for at least a decade that the integrity of our country depends on upholding our laws, securing our borders, getting rid of dangerous immigrants, and denying access to criminals who are exploiting the system. The result of this conviction has been asylum-seekers being denied entry by 94 percent, according to data compiled by Syracuse University.
But if you’re Donald Trump’s pal, no problem.

Flavio Bolsonaro's father Jair Bolsonaro is doing 27 years of hard time in a Brazilian federal prison after attempting the exact same thing that Donald Trump attempted on January 6, 2021, which was to instigate a violent coup attempt with the intent to overthrow the legitimate results of a presidential election he had lost. Jair Bolsonaro was tried and convicted of treason against his nation.
The younger Bolsonaro, a crook like his father, ran for the presidency of Brazil this year in the hopes of winning so he could pardon and free his imprisoned father. Flavio Bolsonaro lost that election yesterday in a landslide to the winner and incumbent President, Lula da Silva. Apparently he landed in South Florida this morning.
Ultimately, I agree with this conclusion of the article's author:

Last year, the White House slapped 50 percent tariffs on Brazil in a bid to pressure authorities to drop charges against Bolsonaro. The move failed. Bolsonaro will die of old age in prison. Why did Trump bother?

Drumpf and the barking hyenas in his cult love to bitch and moan about immigrant 'sanctuary' cities, yet we have clear-cut cases of Donald Trump personally giving 'sanctuary' to criminals, foreign and domestic, such as the Tate brothers, the more than 1600 pardoned January 6th terrorists and a laundry list of other scummy criminals he has pardoned, and of course right-wing dictator wannabe pals like Flavio and Jair Bolsonaro, and these MAGA chuds are as quiet as church mice.
Americans need to tell Drumpf with their vote in this midterm election that we have had enough of his criminality, and Flavio Bolsonaro should be arrested and repatriated back to his home country where he is under active investigation by the Brazilian legal system for a myriad of crimes.
We can end all of this madness and corruption next week. Tuesday is November 3, 2026, the date which will determine if the United States of American remains a democracy, dysfunctional as it and we the people are, or if we go the way of authoritarianism and repression just like DonOld's idol Uncle Vlad does it in his shithole country.
Go vote. Bring a friend or family member along to vote. Vote like the future existence of your free country as you have known it depends on it - because it does.
