Would a Felonious, Coup-Plotting Dictator Wannabe Declare Martial Law to Steal an Election? Do Americans Really Want to Find Out?

Can any of Donald Trump's supporters coherently and truthfully explain what the rationale would be for Drumpf to declare 'martial law' and deploy the US military to seize control of this year's midterm elections?

"President Donald Trump's White House and Cabinet advisers have spent months trying to pull his attention away from election conspiracy theories as some of his most devoted outside allies are urging him to take control of this fall's midterms – even through martial law.

The Atlantic reported Wednesday that advisers have worked to steer Trump away from baseless fraud claims pushed by figures such as attorney Peter Ticktin, conservative host Wayne Allyn Root and former Colorado clerk Tina Peters, while at the same time they've authorized efforts to find evidence that would make those claims appear more credible.

Administration officials gathered once-classified documents on foreign election interference, authorized the seizure of Georgia election records and reviewed voting equipment used in Puerto Rico – but none of that work turned up the large-scale fraud Trump has alleged."

Drumpf and his MAGA enablers have lost nearly 70 court cases all the way to the US Supreme Court trying to prove massive voting fraud since 2020.

Reputable study after study after study after study confirms vote fraud is one of the rarest crimes in the country.

Drumpf's own officials have had years to come up with solid evidence of massive voter fraud taking place across the country and that it cost Drumpf the 2020 election to Joe Biden.  They have found nothing that will stand up under the scrutiny of litigation in any court in the nation.

Drumpf won't let it go, though.  It's how he grew the MAGA movement - crying "RIGGED ELECTION!"  He knows he lost.  It's been reported that he acknowledged to many around him at the time in 2020 that he had lost to Biden.

But DonOld Drumpf is a con man.  And the work of con men is to run cons.  That is their livelihood. 

Running cons is Drumpf's stock in trade and he saw a perfect opportunity to rile up his base by screaming election fraud after losing to Biden, and that is exactly what he did.

DonOld is too far down the rabbit hole of his voting fraud con to stop now, and so he has to continue with the ruse of looking for election fraud that doesn't exist just to keep the slack-jawed rage of his idiot followers percolating.

Here's the thing though.  Drumpf has to know that if he were to declare martial law based on the ravings of a bunch of right-wing conspiracy nuts, and interfere in this November's election, Americans will take to the streets in very large numbers, and those numbers will dwarf the numbers in Drumpf's movement.  DonOld and his enablers would do well to keep that reality in mind.
