Fascism Disguised as a Celebration of Freedom is Still Fascism and People See Through It

Drumpf and his MAGA apparatchiks posted this 'Freedom 250' concert lineup poster online the other day to great fanfare of their own making:

 

 

Not exactly an A-list lineup, but meh, whatever.

There was only one small detail that the Drumpf people neglected to account for in making this splashy concert series announcement.

They failed to confirm with the announced artists that the artists themselves would actually, you know, show up and perform:

As of this time of this posting, of the nine musical acts that Drumpf and his people boasted would be playing at America's birthday party, an event which they have clearly hijacked to use as a worship vehicle for Drumpf, only one act remains - south Florida rapper Flo Rida.

With aging rocker Bret Michaels and headliner Martina McBride announcing their non-participation in Drumpf's machinations to make America's 250th birthday celebration all about himself and his execrable political movement, a message is being sent to MAGA and their toxic leader that most Americans at this point are simply sick and fucking tired of their assholery and bullshit, and reject their attempts to force their vile politics in to our everyday lives, and particularly this national event.

I hope Drumpf's 'Freedom 250' celebration is a colossal failure.  Not because I harbor any ill will towards my country and the 250 years of my country's democratic history.  No, it's not that at all.  

My wish to see this event fail has everything to do with the fact that DonOld Drumpf does not now, nor ever has given a flying shit about American democracy.  I mean, ffs, this is the guy who has told us on more than one occasion that he desires to be America's first dictator!  And I'm expected to celebrate that with him?  Fuck off unto eternity is my response to that.

Drumpf's sole intent on throwing this national party is to make it all about himself and his hideous, criminal legacy.

And that is why all of these musical performers are telling Drumpf and MAGA to drop dead with his 'Big Beautiful' birthday bash event - because they recognize the ulterior political motives behind it all and the morally bankrupt people who are organizing it, and they want no part of it.

Just more Trumpian failure to add to the long, sad list of Trumpian failures.
