Republicans Cry Rivers of Crocodile Tears When Voters Win

Mike Johnson is another phony MAGA crud who can go pound sand in his sphincter.

"The GOP Speaker of the House said he expects the Virginia Supreme Court to overturn the redistricting that state voters approved on Tuesday, and that gives Democrats a chance to add four House seats in November.

"It's a hyper-partisan, gerrymandering boondoggle," Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters at the Capitol on Wednesday. "We raised a ton of money. We did our best, but the Democrats in charge of Virginia foisted this upon the people."

Johnson reminded reporters that the state's Supreme Court can still have the final say, adding that "we are confident and calling upon the Virginia Supreme Court to do the obvious and right result. That is to strike this thing down.""

 

And so now MAGA Mike and his crybaby MAGA friends will run to the Virginia state Supreme Court to try and pressure them to block the will of the citizens of Virginia.

The Republican party sure does spend an awful lot of time and expends a great deal of effort to block the will of American voters, don't they?

I won't be holding my breath waiting for MAGA Mike and his death cult of Republicans in the House to demand a similar court intervention of the redistricting in Texas where Drumpf ordered his MAGA governor buddy Greg Abbott to give the GOP more House seats in that state.

But here's the major fundamental difference between what Republicans did in Texas with their redistricting compared to what Democrats did in California and Virginia.

The Democrats put their redistricting plans in front of the voters of their respective states to be approved. The voters of those states decided the matter.

In Texas, that did not happen.  The Texas GOP unilaterally performed their redistricting with zero public or voter choice in the matter.

So when MAGA Mike Johnson starts publicly crying about how unfair the Virginia redistricting win was for Democrats, people need to tell that smarmy little dissembling shit-stain to just fuck off, and also ask him if he plans to seek court action against the Texas redistricting plan which was NOT voter approved.

Hearing all of these MAGAs screeching like banshees about what happened in Virginia the other evening is a strong sign that Democracy in the US still has plenty of life and is not going to willingly bow down to a morally corrupt political party and their child rapist leader.
