Another Drumpf Cabinet Member Jumps the Sinking Ship

Well, that didn't take long.

I went and refreshed my internet pages only to see a breaking news article about the Secretary of the United States Navy, the top Navy guy, just up and resigned out of the blue this afternoon - this while the United States Navy is currently immersed in a tense war footing scenario in the Middle East.

Perhaps this is the beginning of the "bad" that Lindsey Graham predicted (see previous post) was coming with an imminent Drumpf decision:

"The sudden and unexplained departure of Navy Secretary John Phelan, appointed by Trump last year, has left observers baffled and outraged, especially as war with Iran drags on with dueling naval blockades.

Writer Charlotte Clymer joked that "the Strait of Hormuz is closed, but the Pentagon unemployment line is open."

Journalist Isaac Saul criticized Phelan for having "zero naval experience or military experience of any kind," in a post on X. "He was a businessman and donor to the Trump campaign, who bizarrely got tapped to be Sec of Navy...the appointment was bad. the timing of this was worse. This is inexcusable stuff."

Some floated rumors that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth forced Phelan out."

I'm wondering if Phelan was either given orders by Hegseth and Drumpf that he either could not stomach issuing being that he's a non-military guy and nothing more than a crooked business crony of Drumpf, or they were illegal orders and perhaps because he still possesses a small amount of personal integrity, he resigned rather than carry out those orders.

I have an uneasy feeling that as Lindsey Graham crowed about, something very "bad" is about to burst Don and Bibi's Big Iran Armageddon Adventure wide open and there will be bad repercussions as a result for America and Americans.
