If They Will Lie About Troop Casualties, They Will Lie About Anything Related to This "War"

Knowing just how dishonest that this execrable Drumpf administration is and just how completely untrustworthy and utterly devoid of credibility that the words of Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are, I was fearful of this coming to pass:

"The Pentagon appears to be engaged in a “casualty cover-up” of U.S. soldiers killed as a result of Donald Trump’s military onslaught in Iran, a U.S. defense official told The Intercept.

An analysis by The Intercept found that the Department of Defense has used outdated numbers in statements on casualties, resulting in undercounts of how many troops have been wounded or killed.

In a statement sent Monday, CENTCOM said that “approximately 303 U.S. service members have been wounded” since the launch of Operation Epic Fury. But that number was three days old, and excluded the at least 15 troops wounded in a strike at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia last week.

CENTCOM would not provide any information about the number of U.S. troops who have been killed since the start of the war, but The Intercept placed the number at around 15. Six soldiers were killed in a strike on a makeshift operations center in Kuwait, and another six died serving aboard a KC-135 refueling aircraft that crashed in Iraq. Another soldier was killed on March 1, during an enemy attack on the base in Saudi Arabia.

“This is, quite obviously, a subject that [Defense Secretary Pete] Hegseth and the White House want to keep under major wraps,” said the defense official, who spoke to The Intercept on the condition of anonymity." 

 

Yeah - I have no doubt that Ol' Pistol Pete wants to keep the number of actual wounded and killed US military personnel from the public.  And to think we are only a couple of weeks into this bloody encounter.

We already know what a boondoggle so far this clusterfuck-planned "war" has been, and with Drumpf's arrogant and threatening speech to the nation last evening, it doesn't look like the boondoggle is going to become less cluster-fucked any time soon. 

Honestly though - I have expected from day one of the start of Drumpf and Bibi's Big Iran Armageddon Adventure that they would lie to us about the number of US military casualties if it came to that stage.

I also believe that until someone calls them out loudly and publicly for it and enough Americans become angered and disgusted by their deceit, they will continue to mislead (aka - lie to) the country about the human cost of this Drumpf war boondoggle, and before we know it tragedy of unspeakable scope will be upon us as a nation.
