Well imagine that. Actually there's no imagining it because it actually happened.
Drumpf and his people KNEW that Tom Homan had been under criminal bribery investigation by the FBI.
They KNEW that the FBI had Homan on videotape accepting a $50k cash bribe in a paper sack to help rig some DHS contracts.
They KNEW what a crook Homan was.
Yet Drumpf went and hired him anyway, and then he instructed his consigliere Pam 'Scam Blondi' Bondi to disappear the FBI investigation of Homan "into the cornfield" as they say:

Homan had been accused of accepting $50,000 in cash from undercover FBI agents who posed as businessmen seeking his help in getting federal border security contracts.
Bove is said to have “closed his eyes and grimaced” upon reading the allegations. But Trump had already named Homan as his incoming border czar months earlier, on Nov. 10, and his appointment went on as planned. It’s unclear if Bove notified other Trump officials of the bribery probe, or how Homan went on to obtain a security clearance."
This is what is commonly referred to as "corruption in broad daylight" Ma and Pa MAGA. That you and the rest of Trump-supporting America continue to look away and pretend it isn't happening doesn't negate the fact and reality that it is indeed happening.
This is precisely why I have zero tolerance for listening to Republicans and conservatives bragging about how they are the party and Americans of "law and order" and talking about how tough they are on crime.
Before I even touch on the hiring of this swindler Homan at DHS, keep in mind that the individual who hired Homan, Donald John Trump, IS a convicted felon and is/was under indictment for multiple other felonies just last year.
In fact, Special Counsel Jack Smith recently told a Congressional committee in closed door testimony that he would have indicted Drumpf for multiple MORE felonies for stealing sensitive national security documents from the White House, as well as criminally plotting the overthrow of the 2024 election results.
Smith's findings were not at all unlike those of former Republican Special Counsel Robert Mueller who testified to Congress that he too would have indicted Drumpf on multiple felonies had he not been the sitting POTUS for obstructing the investigation into Drumpf's 2016 campaign for accepting help from Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Sadly, the orange friend and protector of pedos and Putin asset stole his way back into White House power, and one of the first things he did was have his apparatchiks who now run a compromised and corrupted DOJ shut down the Smith investigations into his crimes and treachery as well.
And in an act of vengeance, Drumpf ordered that same corrupt DOJ to indict two of his perceived political enemies, former FBI Director James Comey, and current New York state Attorney General Letitia James on bogus, manufactured charges, presumably to send a message to anyone else, including Jack Smith, that he has the power to order their arrests on 'Trumped-up" charges if he wishes.
Thankfully, multiple US grand juries have so far rejected several attempts by Drumpf's DOJ to proceed with these sham indictments of Comey and James, which is a good sign that there are still good, honorable Americans acting as a bulwark against Drumpf's more dictatorial, unconstitutional impulses.
But yeah, finding out now that they ALL KNEW Tom Homan was dirty is not really all that surprising. It's actually more surprising that it took this long for it to become public knowledge.
Come to think of it, considering how valueless the billionaire-owned news media is these days in this country, it's not really all that surprising it took them so long to report on it either.
