Erect This Statue or We Will Punish You - MAGA's Idea of 'Free Speech'

Do you want to know how I know these MAGA operatives in reality don't give a shit about Charlie Kirk and see his murder as nothing more than a cynical opportunity to exploit his death for purely crass political messaging?

Because they show us day in and day out what their true agenda is, and it mostly has nothing to do with "honoring" Charlie Kirk's memory and more with promoting their own rancid political ideology.

As a prime example, Trumpublicans in the the great American shithole state of Oklahoma are attempting to force EVERY single college and university in that state to erect a Charlie Kirk statue on the grounds of their schools, AND the space where they place it must be named 'The Charlie Kirk Memorial Plaza."  Signage must accompany the statue that essentially lies about Kirk's legacy.  Any college or university failing to comply with the GOP's authoritarian edict would face persecution by the majority Trumpublican government.

"Republican lawmakers in Oklahoma introduced legislation that would require public colleges to erect statues of MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk or face fines.

GOP state Sens. Shane Jett and Dana Prieto, both Republicans, sponsored the bill instructing colleges to create a “Charlie Kirk Memorial Plaza.” The schools would also have to include signage describing Kirk as a “modern civil rights leader, vocal Christian, martyr for truth and faith and free speech advocate,” according to the Heartland Signal.

"Square or plaza plans shall include a statue of Charlie Kirk sitting at a table with an empty seat across from him or a statue of Charlie Kirk and his wife standing and holding their children in their arms as a central element of the square or plaza design," the bill states.

Private institutions in Oklahoma would be able to apply for grant funds to establish similar memorials to Kirk.

Colleges that failed to erect Kirk statues would face "a punitive fine of one percent (1%) of the institution of higher education’s appropriated budget for each month of noncompliance," the legislation said."

 

These Charlie Kirk martyr-makers are the same phony bastards who run around screaming about the slightest offenses against THEIR free speech.  Clearly, as they keep showing us, they don't seem to give a flying fuck about anyone else's free speech rights.
