There is a reason why history is replete with examples of arrogant oligarchs like this having their earthly fate sealed via the sharp edge of the guillotine, the hangman's taut noose or the firing squad's well-aimed bullets:
Tom Perkins is desperately trying to extend his 15 minutes of infamy.
The 82-year-old venture capitalist, who recently made a lot of people angry by comparing progressives to Nazis, told an audience in San Francisco Thursday that people who pay more money in taxes should get more votes.
"The Tom Perkins system is: You don't get to vote unless you pay a dollar of taxes,"Perkins said, according to CNNMoney. "But what I really think is, it should be like a corporation. Haven't this man and his kind done enough damage already to the human condition? Haven't they stifled human progress enough? Will their thirst for a perpetually swelling share of the world's wealth and power ever be quenched? Haven't all of their manufactured wars and their handsome profiting off of those wars sufficiently satiated their appetite for human blood and misery?
The Gadfly thinks Mr. Perkins should just take his prize and go home. You already won you fucker. Be happy with what you have and be even happier that mobs of unwashed peasants with pitchforks aren't storming your gated compound to drag your sorry ass to the gallows.
