Nazareth singer Dan McCafferty has retired from the band as a result of the health issues which forced them to cancel two sets of live dates.
The veteran vocalist collapsed on stage in Switzerland at the weekend, resulting in rumours that he’d had a stroke. Last month he collapsed in Canada. The Gadfly discovered Nazareth's music as a wee lad of around 14 years of age. Their big guitar sound and Dan McCafferty's bawdy vocals blew The Gadfly's mind away and turned him in to a life long hard rocker.
The Gadfly wishes Dan McCafferty the best and hopes he has a chance to return to the stage and keep the Nazareth legend alive . . .
