Like many traumatic national events, the Newtown shooting has already spawned its share of wild conspiracy theories that draw in everything from British finance to the Hunger Games.

Yep - The Gadfly has already received three chain e-mails in the past couple of days breathlessly telling him that the Aurora and Newtown mass shootings are calculated, evil, 'Manchurian Candidate' type plots that have been engineered by Obama and the U.N. to provide justification for confiscating all guns in America and handing over America's entire national security apparatus to the U.N. with the end goal of a one world government with Obama as Supreme Chancellor Octavius Barry Palpatine or something thereof.

My god these fucking people are so sickeningly ignorant and laughably paranoid that it just makes The Gadfly dizzy and nauseous.  Oh - and btw - you can thank Rupert "Asshole of The Millenium" Murdoch and Fox "News" for employing people like Glenn Beck, Dick Morris, Eric Bolling and Sean Hanniturd for helping to fuel the spread of this zombie apocalypse idiocy and pants-pissing schizophrenia with their constant fear-mongering styled "what if?" type of ranting and raving on the public airwaves.

The Gadfly swears to The Flying Spaghetti Monster that if a Toyota Prius sized asteroid were to fall from the sky tomorrow and hit smack dab on top of Fox' NYC HQ, vaporizing the whole place and every employee in it, yet leave every other building and human around it untouched, The Gadfly would fall to his knees, and with arms outstretched and eyes gazing toward the heavens, become an instant believer in miracles - the kind of miracles that could only be delivered by a loving, merciful, mindful and justice appreciating god.
