The Next Logical Step in Texas: Criminalizing Voting for Democrats

The Republican party is scared shitless about the prospect of more Americans partaking in their constitutionally guaranteed right to vote.

The GOP fears democracy.  You can smell the stench of that fear in their actions like the brazen gerrymandering they are performing in Texas at Drumpf's request right now.  Texas Republicans already had a stranglehold grip on government in that state through years of voter-disenfranchising gerrymandering and abusing the powers of the state to restrict access to voting for certain segments of their population (mostly brown-skinned Americans).  But cult leader Daddy Drumpf told Texas Governor Greg Abbott to find him five more House seats, not at all unlike how the greasy old mobster tried to unlawfully pressure Georgia elections officials to "find" him just enough votes to overturn the Georgia election results of the 2020 election.  And so being the dutiful, lily-livered, goose-stepping eunuchs they are, Texas Republicans did exactly as instructed by their dictator-wannabe leader.

And now that the Trumpublican cowards have passed their thoroughly corrupt new redistricting maps in Texas exactly as the child rapist in the White House told them to do, they are taking the next logical step to safeguard their corrupt electoral ratfucking by using their majority power to close down polling sites in mostly Democratic districts.

I'm going to just come right out and say with all due respect to the decent people living there.  Texas, not at all unlike Florida, is a shithole, banana-republic state run by shithole banana republic Republicans.  They couldn't pay me enough tax-free money to live or work in either of those red-state political landfills.  I have no interest or desire to live in a state that has that many right-wing Nazis in positions of governmental power. 

But this is what in-your-face fascism looks like folks.  Take a long, hard look at it and if it doesn't piss you off and motivate you to stand up and make your voice heard in opposition, then you are part of the problem and can consider yourself a willing ally in the right's effort to end democracy as we know it and instill a Putin-style tyranny over our nation and people.

Americans who choose to side with the efforts of these Trumpublicans to illegally usurp our democracy in an effort to keep an aging, partly decomposing, incontinent, greasy old, child raping, Putin dick sucking mobster in the White House deserve to sow all of the bad karma repercussions that will inevitably result from such an unholy alliance.

Drumpf's Russian Diplomacy: Stagger Softly and Carry a Little Dick

In my nearly 65 years of life as a citizen of this country, I am never more embarrassed to be an American than I am today after Drumpf's disgraceful display yesterday in Alaska with Vladimir Putin.

On a United States military base no less, Drumpf not only had an actual long, elegant red carpet rolled out in dramatic fashion for a mass murdering, genocidal dictator who is also a UN wanted war criminal, but also had our own military men and women give the mass murdering war criminal a grand entrance military salute and an expensive, taxpayer funded flyover by military aircraft.

 

 

And after the red carpet was rolled out, Drumpf then makes his dramatic entrance, weaving like a drunk down the red carpet where he then stopped and pranced around like an anxious schoolgirl about to meet her rock star idol.  

 

 

Clapping like a trained seal, he giddily awaited the arrival of the Russian dictator.  DADDY'S HOME!  And Russian father, American traitor son, both laughing with big smiles on their faces, warmly embrace each other.  

Drumpf then fetes the mass-murderer to a taxpayer funded military aircraft flyover show and military presentation.  The two BFF's then hop into the US presidential limo together, ALONE with no translators or aides present, and speed off to presumably consummate their amorous reunion by carving up Ukraine and likely betraying even more US intel secrets than Drumpf has already betrayed: 

 

 

C'mon - just look at that shit-eating grin on Putin's face.  That is unmistakably a victory grin. 

Ffs.

Can you imagine if either Biden or Obama had ever welcomed Putin in such an effusive and slavering fashion?  Holy fuck, the right-winger heads would have exploded in mass unison and they would have been condemned as Putin tools and 'communists.'

 

 

I mean, what I see in this Getty photo is a confident, smug Putin smirking because he understands very well the gravity of the moment and the scope of what he has accomplished and won by getting Drumpf to fawn all over him like a fan-girl on the world stage while using the US military as stage props in doing so.

And in Drumpf I see a weak, bootlicking, quisling loser cravenly and foolishly sucking up to an evil incarnate individual who has subjugated his own Russian people to two decades of oppressive rule through massive election fraud, murdered all of his political rivals, amassed billions in stolen wealth for himself, and viciously slaughtered many innocent people with his dictatorial ambitions, and who would do the same to Americans in a heartbeat if given the opportunity.

And that is why Donald fucking Drumpf is not my president and never will be.  He is a traitor to this nation, pure and simple and it is beyond depressing that more of my fellow Americans, including friends and family sadly, just can't see it, or worse yet, are seemingly okay with it.

If something doesn't change dramatically and soon, it is not just a matter of if a 'reckoning' will come for a nation and people who would abandon democracy in favor of a fascist authoritarian monarchy, which is what Drumpf wants to institute here in the US.  Seriously, a nation that would entertain the idea of a future King Donald II (cokehead Jr.) as ruler for life of the United States of America, with crown Princess Ivanka waiting in the wings is a nation destined for a calamitous reckoning.

Release the Epstein files in their entirety, unredacted. Would You Trust a Suspected Child Rapist With Your Private Tax Data?

I don't know how many red flags it's going to take before Americans awake from their stupor and accept the reality that living in a fascist dictatorship is a distinct possibility for themselves and their children in the not too distant future.

They claim it's only to help them identify undocumented immigrants, but let's be real here, how many undocumented immigrants file taxes with the government that would deport them?  Uh-huh - Drumpf and his people actually believe we're all that stupid.

There is only one reason for the IRS to be putting together a vast government infrastructure to accommodate the transfer of large amounts of taxpayer data to the thugs at ICE and that is so Drumpf, in his self-described role as 'dictator,' can use that data to manipulate and intimidate those who oppose him.

A corrupt con man, convicted felon, court-adjudicated rapist, and suspected child rapist who to this fucking day still refuses to release any of his own tax records should not be anywhere near this kind of power.

Two days later, on June 27, De Mello was forced out of his job, people familiar with the dispute said. The addresses have not yet been released to ICE. De Mello did not respond to requests for comment, and the administration did not address questions sent by ProPublica about his departure.

In his email, De Mello said ICE’s request for millions of records did not meet those requirements, which include having a written assurance that each taxpayer whose address is being sought was under active criminal investigation.

“There’s just no way ICE has 7 million real criminal investigations, that’s a fantasy,” said a former senior IRS official who had been advising the agency on this issue. The demands from the DHS were “unprecedented,” the official added, saying the agency was pressing the IRS to do what amounted to “a big data dump.”"

"A man accused of throwing a sandwich at a federal agent who was patrolling Washington this week, after calling him and other agents “fascists,” was charged with assaulting a federal officer on Wednesday.

The police said the man threw a “sub-style” sandwich at a Customs and Border Protection officer on Sunday night, the day before President Trump’s announcement that his administration was temporarily taking over Washington’s police force and sending National Guard troops and federal agents into the city for patrols.

A video of the interaction went viral, showing a man repeatedly yelling at the agents near the corner of 14th and U Streets in Northwest D.C., a popular part of the city filled with bars and restaurants. “Shame! Shame!” he yelled from across the street.

At some point, the video shows, he got closer to the officers and warned them to back up while berating them.

After minutes of yelling, the man paused briefly, wound up and threw the sandwich into the chest of the C.B.P. officer, then ran into the street as officers chased him. A transit police detective, Daina Henry, included screenshots of the video in an affidavit that was included with the criminal complaint.

The detective wrote that the man charged in the crime, identified as Sean C. Dunn, 37, had confessed after he was apprehended. “I did it. I threw the sandwich,” the detective quoted him as saying." 

 

It speaks volumes that they will lock up this DC resident for tossing his Subway sandwich at one of Drumpf's federal goons dispatched to intimidate the people of DC, but the 1600 MAGA supporters who attacked the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, injuring hundreds of police officers, killing three, and causing the deaths of three civilians, are walking the streets of this country as free people because the criminal in the White House pardoned them.

Suffice to say that it was every decent, patriotic American who threw that sandwich.  We all did it.

Understand that Trump voters will see every House seat Trump steals via gerrymandering as a legitimate MAGA gain, and every House seat Republicans *lose* through gerrymandering as "stolen."

The effect of this is that there's a good chance Trump orders Mike Johnson to not accept the midterm results.

There's a significant risk that America loses the majority of its remaining cultural and political cohesion after the midterms.

January 6 was a violent armed insurrection aimed at staging a self-coup of the executive branch. The 2026 midterms are shaping up to be an attempted legislative self-coup.

I have no idea why anyone thinks Mike Johnson is willing to seat a Democratic majority in the first week of January 2027. He'll be under orders from Trump not to do so. And there's no basis to believe Johnson will push back on Trump.

This is a man who *handed his gavel to Trump* on live television.

The primary reason Trump and Elon Musk want to federalize Washington is to seize power illegally.

If Democrats win the House but Johnson doesn't allow a transfer of power, they will have to try to form a government in exile—because Trump could use federal force to *eject* them from the House floor.
At that point corporate media will have a choice. It'll reach a fork in the road.

I can promise you it will fail the test put to it.

It will have to choose whether to cover the Trump government as the real government or cover the Democratic House as the real government.

It will choose the former.

I've no idea how that gets resolved. I just know that if Trump wasn't going to allow a Democratic executive to take power in January 2021, he's not going to let a Democratic House take power in January 2027.

I haven't heard anyone offer a compelling argument as to why he'd reverse course and do so.

So every time you read about what is happening in Texas, when you read about what they're going to now do in Indiana, when you read about this new fake census Trump wants or when you read about the federalization of the capital, understand that this is open plotting for a second armed insurrection.

The difference is that this armed insurrection will *not* be conducted by paramilitaries. Trump will be assisted by the FBI, DOJ, ICE agents, and US Marines under the command of Pete Hegseth. It will be a legislative auto-coup that happens right under our noses and without any ability to fight back.

I'd further expect attempts to fight back through mass civil disobedience to then be used by Trump as an excuse for martial law and the cancellation of the 2028 presidential election.

The reason Trump has now named Vance his de facto successor is because he doesn't believe he'll actually have one.

Amidst all this, no one in corporate media will cover this slow-rolling insurrection as it's happening. Corporate media will report on gerrymandering as it always has, will frame disputes over who controls DC administratively as longstanding, and will do nothing to warn America about what is coming.

And any independent U.S. journalist who breaks from this conventional wisdom will be framed as a conspiracy theorist or a crank, despite the fact that they're merely looking at the recent history of Donald Trump, his current unprecedented actions, and the win-at-any-cost mentality of his "movement.""

Drumpf is pushing this country toward internal civil conflict, and when that conflict begins, which he and his goons will undoubtedly be the instigators of, he will use it as an excuse to declare martial law.  He will then cancel or indefinitely suspend next year's mid-term elections, suspend the US Constitution, suspend civil liberties, and America will officially have become an authoritarian dictatorship.
