The reason why all but a couple of the ten or so announced musical acts that were supposed to perform at DonOld Drumpfs 'Great American State Fair' declined to participate in the event was two-fold.
First, most of those performers weren't consulted in advance about performing, meaning Drumpf and his people arrogantly announced the participation of these musical acts in the event without actually confirming it with the musical acts themselves.
Secondly, the performers were told by Drumpf and his people that it was a NON-PARTISAN event for ALL Americans to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our democracy. They were blatantly lied to.
It became clear very quickly to the musical artists that Drumpf's 'Great American State Fair' was being planned primarily as a tribute to the dirty old, kiddie raping mobster himself, and the artists, possessing some semblance of sanity and decency, simply chose not to be part of such a sickening and un-American spectacle.
And of course now that DonOld's 'Great American State Fair' has kicked off, we are seeing immediately that the artists who dropped out of the event did the right thing:

The cabinet official saluted the Marine Band and three performers – Lee Greenwood, Christopher Macchio and Alexis Wilkins, the country singer and girlfriend of FBI Director Kash Patel – at Wednesday's event on the National Mall, but Duffy then slurred acts who pulled out of the festivities as "libtards."
"I think we have to give a big round of applause for our military band and singers," Duffy said in a video posted on X to cheers. "Way better than those libtards that canceled on us. So much better. Thank you guys. President Trump will make you famous.""
As the "libtard" musical acts who declined to participate in the event correctly observed, the event was not being planned as a celebration of 250 years of American democracy for ALL Americans.
Drumpf and his toady apparatchiks like his Transportation Secretary, the wholly unqualified, failed reality TV show 'star' and lickspittle Sean Duffy, hijacked what should have been an inclusive celebration for ALL Americans and essentially retooled the event to be one of Drumpf's standard MAGA political rallies where the convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and suspected child rapist stands in front of his adoring cultists and drones on for two hours about his own perceived greatness and all of his kingly accomplishments, greatness and accomplishments which of course are nothing more than figments of his own polluted, dementia-ravaged imagination.
Seriously though. A very special 'go fuck yourself' needs to be awarded to Sean Duffy for using the term 'libtards' in a public speech as a demeaning attack term.
Not because I personally feel insulted by the slur, mind you. It would take much, much more than a childishly taunting epithet like that to pierce my crusty old, leathery 'libtard' hide.
No. It's mostly because I feel that it's pretty fucking creepy, cruel, and compassionless for the father of a special needs child with Down Syndrome to be using that kind of term in public in a derogatory fashion against people whom he disagrees with.
MAGA jagoffs like Sean Duffy put their shallow moral values on display for us day in and day out, time and time again like this. When will it be enough for Americans to start rejecting this execrable movement of malevolent, morally impoverished assholes in our government?
