The Un-American Activities of MAGA "Influencers" Undermine the 'American Experiment'

This isn't a new story (Sept 2024), but I share it because it gets right to the heart of anti-American moral rot at the core of the MAGA/conservative Republican movement, and how it relates to what we are seeing today with Drumpf's betrayal of Ukraine, his insults and threats toward America's traditional NATO allies, his red-carpet, strike up the band welcome of Putin on US soil, a US military base even, and the actions he has taken in the wake of his decision to join Israel in their Big Iran Armageddon Adventure and the way those decisions have massively benefited the Russian war criminal and his terrorist regime.

In the past I have made comments to the effect that whenever I hear the term MAGA "influencer," I immediately think two things - loser and Russian stooge.

'Loser' because most of these right-wing social media "influencers" are unemployable people who have willfully chosen the occupation of creating online media personalities of themselves and stirring up faux outrage among the conservative dipshits who follow them, and they do it solely for money and gaining "influence" (followers) on whatever social media hellsites that they are peddling their trash on.

And, I think of many of them as 'Russian stooges' because of shit like this:

"Federal officials have accused Russia of using unwitting right-wing American influencers in its quest to spread Kremlin propaganda ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

On Wednesday, the Justice Department charged two employees of RT, the Russian state media broadcaster, in a scheme to secretly fund and direct the production of social media videos that racked up millions of views.

The RT staffers, named in the indictment as Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afanasyeva, have been charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act. They're accused of funneling nearly $10 million to an unnamed Tennessee company that contracted with online influencers with big audiences.

"While the views expressed in the videos are not uniform, the subject matter and content of the videos are often consistent with the Government of Russia's interest in amplifying U.S. domestic divisions in order to weaken U.S. opposition to core Government of Russia interests, such as its ongoing war in Ukraine," the indictment says.

$10 million isn't chicken scratch when divided up among a dozen or so grifting fraudsters.

So essentially, MAGA "influencer" chuds like Benny Johnson, Tim Poole, Dave Rubin, Lauren Southern, and others were caught taking $10 million from Putin to peddle propaganda that not only promoted Russian interests regarding Ukraine, but also sowed political division right here at home in the United States among Americans, and every one of them claims "unwitting" involvement, and we're supposed to believe them.

Yeah, I know.  Funny stuff, huh.  They claimed not to know who was signing these huge paychecks to them, but they had no problem depositing those checks into their bank accounts.  The lying sacks of shit.

And now you know why I have such utterly visceral disdain for these MAGA and conservative online "influencers."

Half of them are just conniving, dissembling jackasses who are out to grift the MAGA base and separate their cash from their wallets just like Drumpf does with his merch and memecoins and Trump phones and Trump Bibles, and Trump tennis shoes, and other stupid, trashy shit that he cons the cult in to sending him money for.

The other half I believe are willing Russian stooges, like the Benny Johnsons and the Tim Pooles.  These backstabbing assholes know full-well that much of the political garbage that they are peddling is Russian propaganda, and that they were and still are actively performing Russia's bidding to incite political division in America with their worshipful support of Putin's tool in the White House and that tool's pro-Russia agenda.

MAGA "influencer" = Grifting, anti-American Propagandist.  That is the most straightforward equation to this story.
