Well, there's no mistaking it - when it comes to "resoundingly terrible" ideas, there really is no rival to DonOld Drumpf's penchant for embracing them:
Link: Officials panic as Trump appears ready to authorize 'resoundingly terrible idea': report - Raw Story
"Trump explicitly called for regime change just moments after first authorizing strikes on Iran in late February, and while the president has claimed to have accomplished that goal, experts have largely dismissed the president’s assertion. Now, Trump appears ready to greenlight an operation to achieve another goal: seizing Iran’s supply of enriched uranium.
“There’s one problem, though: A lot of officials working at the senior and Cabinet levels of Trump’s government think it’s a resoundingly terrible idea (In fact, it’s hard to find any Trump officials of actual influence who, in their quieter and private moments, will say that it’s a decent idea),” Zeteo’s Asawin Suebsaeng wrote.
“Some of these officials have been trying to subtly wean the president off of this proposal, citing the likely possibility of high numbers of U.S. troops being killed, captured, or wounded, as well as other logistical and political nightmares that could come with ordering such a dangerous mission.”
Speaking with Zeteo, one U.S. official suggested that Trump’s understanding of the demands of such an operation was wildly ill-informed.
“There’s a lot of it and it’s f------ heavy,” the official told Zeteo, speaking on the condition of anonymity. “It's not the Seal Team 6 movie that Donald Trump has in his head.”"
The one official stating that Drumpf views the whole idea of seizing enriched uranium that they aren't sure of the whereabouts of by sending US military forces deep into Iran as a "Seal Team 6 movie" in his mind confirms that the fraudulent old mobster posing as a legitimate American POTUS has nothing but callous disregard for our American military and soldiers.
That same official also said that Drumpf was "wildly ill-informed" about how such a complicated military operation would or could work.
Well of course DonOld is "ill-informed." He's getting Iran military briefings stove-piped into his feeble, syphilis-ravaged brain by that inbred, inebriated Fox "news" weekend talk show co-host flunky and fellow accused rapist Pete Hegseth who himself is posing as the legitimate 'leader' of what remains of the world's greatest military force.
You don't just cavalierly plop a military invasion force into a rugged mountainous country of 100 million, heavily armed people on the other side of the planet and automatically expect it to end with the flag-waving US heroes emerging victorious like they do in the action movies. Shit doesn't work that way in real life.
Drumpf unilaterally made the fatally flawed decision to involved the United States in wanted war criminal Bibi Netanyahu's Big Iran Armageddon Adventure against the advice of his intel and military experts precisely because he sees everything through the lenses of a 12 year-old action movie fanboy, a snotty, selfish, ignorant, and "wildly ill-informed" 12 year-old fanboy.
I have every confidence in the world that Drumpf will ignore the advice of smarter, more knowledgeable and experienced people once again on this enriched uranium, "Seal Team 6" invasion idea, and not one of these fucking MAGA Republicans had better act surprised when a tragedy of unspeakable proportions is the end result.
