How do you combat a political party whose entire political platform is constructed on easily disprovable lies?

The reason why Republican politicians like Steve Scalise lie publicly to your faces like this is twofold.
First - they know that a sizable segment of the MAGA voting base are truly dumber than rocks and will essentially believe any bullshit story that Drumpf and his toadies peddle to them.
Secondly, they lie because if they were to actually tell the truth about who their party really is, and who their party really serves, the Republicans would never win another election in this country. In short - they have to deliberately and knowingly lie to survive as a political party.
And of course it speaks volumes that strategic lying has become such an ingrained feature of MAGA politics that they don't even care any more how brazen the lies are and how effortless it is to debunk those lies.
If a politician looks you straight in the face and lies to you like Steve Scalise does in this interview with Joe Kernen, then the next question you should be asking yourselves is - what else are they lying to you about?
