Some of Drumpf's most rabid defenders are laughably attempting to dismiss Drumpf's open admission that he likes to suround himself with 'losers' as just him joking around with the audience:

Drumpf doesn't joke about stuff like that. He was asked a serious question about what is "missing in leadership" and he wasted no time in answering that question by stating his preference for having 'losers' around him. For once DonOld was stating the absolute truth about himself.
I have talked about this in many a previous post about why Drumpf chooses the people he does for high level positions in his administration and circle of "advisers."
He chooses people like Pete Hegseth and Pam Bondi and Kash Patel and Howard Lutnick and others because they are shitty, compromised, and cravenly obsequious people, the kind of people Drumpf finds easy to manipulate in to doing his bidding.
Drumpf is no more complicated a creature than that.
So yeah - DonOld loves to have 'losers' in his orbit not only because they remind him of himself and worship the ground he waddles on, but also because he knows how easy it is to manipulate them and compel them to perform his dirty work and take the fall for him when shit goes sideways (Iran).
