"President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the U.S. is opening the first domestic oil refinery in the last half-century.

Trump claimed in a new post on Truth Social that the refinery will be located in Brownsville, Texas, and will be built using funds from a more than $300 billion investment deal struck with an Indian oil company called Reliance.

"THIS IS A HISTORIC $300 BILLION DOLLAR DEAL — THE BIGGEST IN U.S. HISTORY, A MASSIVE WIN for American Workers, Energy, and the GREAT People of South Texas!" Trump wrote on Truth Social."

   

Not a new school.

Not a new hospital.

Not a new library.

Not a new park.

Not a new child day care center.

Nothing that benefits average Americans and their families and communities.

No, none of that.

But a fucking oil refinery on the Texas gulf coast, an area which has long been despoiled by fucking oil refineries.

That's what Drumpf gets a boner over.  The announcement of a new filthy, environment ravaging, cancer causing monstrosity of a facility that processes toxic crude oil to be manufactured into gasoline, gasoline which will then be sold to sucker Americans at artificially inflated prices.

The way Drumpf framed it as a "MASSIVE WIN for American workers" is simply a load of lying horse shit.  Refinery projects like this typically result in only a few additional local jobs, certainly nothing that benefits all American workers.

And taking in to consideration that the corrupt right-wing government of India is involved in this deal, I can only surmise what kind of kickback percentage Drumpf and his larcenous family are pocketing.

This is Drumpf's America.  An America that benefits the few such as his billionaire self, his billionaire family, and his corrupt billionaire friends, all at the expense of the many.

I keep saying this only because it's true.  Nothing will change for the better in this country until Drumpf and the Republican party are removed from power, and decisively so.  Nothing.
