Yes, Banning Books is Bad. But Child Rape, Corruption, and Tyranny are Infinitely Worse.

The recent Democratic upset win deep in the heart of 'The Lone Star State," Texas by Democrat and union member Taylor Rehmet sent a shiver down the gelatinous spines of Drumpf and his Republican enablers.

I guarantee you there were many soiled GOP/MAGA undies the morning after when the final results were tallied up in that election.  A 31-point swing in favor of Democrats in a ridiculously deep red district of Texas where Drumpf beat Biden handily in 2024 by 17 points will have that effect on weak colons.

The Texas win was yet another clear and unambiguous "We The People" shot across the bow of the SMS Drumpftanic, letting the dirty old kiddie diddling mobster and his hench-people know that voters are paying attention to the Drumpf/MAGA/ICE shitshow and are not liking it at all:

The suburban ninth district, which sits outside Fort Worth and includes a town called White Settlement, is the very definition of a Republican stronghold. Donald Trump carried it by 17% in 2024. This month, although polling was tight, most observers predicted a Wambsganss victory. Instead, Rehmet decimated his opponent by 14 points, representing an eye-popping swing of 31% swing since the presidential election.

In the aftermath, most commentators have pointed to what is looking very much like a national turn away from Republicans and toward Democrats after a year of Trump’s failures and scandals. That’s certainly a big part of the story, but it’s still probably not enough to explain such a shocking result in a district that has been deeply red for decades. To fill out the picture, it’s important to look at that most local of issues: education."  

 

While I have no doubt that Texas Republicans banning books that offend their delicate, child-rape coddling sensibilities was a significant contributing factor to Democrat Taylor Rehmet's earth-quaking, 14-point victory over Drumpf's endorsed MAGA candidate in a deep red Texas district, it is so much more than that.

In the wake of recent events such as Drumpf's pedophilia problem, and his masked ICE goons executing US citizens in broad daylight, his tariff lies and lies about the economy, his suspiciously pro-Russian foreign policies, etc. . . a lot of Americans right now, including some traditional, non-MAGA Republicans, are beginning to rouse from their mental and moral slumber and are starting to see the writing on the wall regarding Drumpf, MAGA, and their desire to install a fascist dictatorship in this country that is run by a cabal of billionaire tech-bro pedophiles who want to turn the US into a heavily surveilled, democratically neutered vassal state of America's enemies.

Ever so slowly, like Rip Van Winkle awakening after his 20-year slumber, politically 'unconscious' Americans are beginning to open their eyes a little wider and finally recognizing who and what Drumpf is, who he is "friends" with, and where he is trying to take this country, and it is inspiring these people to not only register to vote, but also show up and vote against the Drumpf/MAGA agenda.

It's also a positive development that more and more Americans are beginning to recognize the threat that this morally bankrupt, anti-American movement that goes by the name of 'MAGA' poses to our democracy and freedoms as well and have had enough of them, and they are taking that into consideration too when walking into the voting booth.

While it's all well and good of course that larger numbers of Americans are at long last starting to stand up to Drumpf and MAGA by showing up to vote, the question is still entirely open as to whether it will be enough to save this 250 year-old experiment in representative democracy.

I express that skepticism based on Drumpf's public statements this past week musing about his corrupt federal government "taking over" and "nationalizing" elections, usurping states rights in the process.

Drumpf and his lackeys have also suggested they may send ICE goons to "monitor" (aka - intimidate) voters at polling stations in, of course, Democratic districts.

With the 'Epstein Files' pedophilia 'Sword of Damocles'  hovering over Drumpf's head, and the recent trend of big Democratic wins in special elections across the country, I fully expect Drumpf and his crooked cabal to recognize the electoral peril they and their criminal movement face, and therefore resort to interfering with, if not outright attempting to cancel the midterm elections, which if he gets away with, would be the coup de grâce of his January 6, 2021 instigation of violent insurrection against our country.

If I am wrong with that prediction, I will eat my paper plate full of unseasoned crow publicly and fully cop to having been wrong.

However, if that prediction does come to fruition, the time will have arrived where each and every American will be forced to choose whether we ALL continue living in a representative, "We The People" democracy, or we dump democracy in favor of life under the rule of a convicted felon, child raping dictator who is funded by a cabal of corrupt, child raping billionaires and Vladimir Putin.
