It's Happening Here. Hard Choices May Have to be Made. Choose Wisely.

It boggles my mind that our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers fought a planet-wide war just 85 years in this nation's past to defeat and destroy the very kind of fascism that is being presented to us on a daily basis by Drumpf and his MAGA government as their vision of a future America.

That's why I laugh when I hear these completely bamboozled Trump voters talk about DonOld's latest straw man enemy "antifa."  Drumpf and his lying apparatchiks talk about "antifa" as if they were some kind of giant, organized gang of hardened, guerilla warfare combat troops massing armies within the inner cities of blue cities like Portland, Oregon, ready to take on the heavy weaponry of ICE and DonOld's corrupted military, in their inflatable frog, chicken, and baby dinosaur costumes.

The word "antifa" for those too lazy to do some honest research on it, is a shortened acronym that stands for "anti-fascism," 'fa' representing the fascism part. 

For those semi-illiterates in the crowd who aren't familiar with what the purpose of the prefix 'anti-' is, here's a refresher:

Let's explain it this way.

And there's little doubt about these boys' feelings toward fascism: 

 

 

 

All of those photos are of Americans 85 years ago who (mostly) volunteered to get on ships, cross dangerous seas to foreign lands, and sacrifice their lives to keep fascism from spreading it's deadly cancer even further than it unfortunately did. 

If it comes down to a choice that Drumpf and his henchmen seem intent on forcing Americans to make, who am I going to side with in the battle between an admittedly flawed democracy and fascism?  

Shit - that's a no-brainer and I don't need to spend so much as a nano-second thinking about it.  I am and always will be in the trenches alongside the "anti-fascism" crusaders you see in those photos above, and the same goes for their modern-day successors.

Sadly, many in our country today aren't so sure about which side they would choose, and that should scare anyone who gives a damn about the future freedoms this nation will afford your children and grandchildren.
