Bradley takes a ride in the BatCat, a remote controlled telehandler robot used by the Los Angeles Police Department in emergency situations. Equipped with cameras and sensors for navigation via a remote operator, the LAPD's BatCat can lift vehicles and tear down walls with its massive telescopic claw.

The Gadfly is simply trying to envision what kind of, apparently rampant, civilian policing "emergency situations" that would require the expenditure of tax payer dollars to purchase an over priced robotic forklift that can pick up and drop cars?
If anything, The Gadfly supposes it will look kind of cool sitting next to and collecting dust in the LAPD vehicle maintenance hangar next to their armored tanks and drone aircraft.
Welcome to the New World Order kiddies . . . .
