The Life of a Lonely Gunfighter . . . . .

Gee - what a shocker:

LAKE MARY, Fla. -- George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of murder two months ago in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, was questioned today by police after his estranged wife called 911 saying he threatened her with a gun.
"He's in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and keeps saying step closer ... and he's gonna shoot us," a breathless and clearly scared Shellie Zimmerman told the police emergency operator, according to the 911 call released by police.
"He's just threatening all of us with his firearm," she added.
Shellie Zimmerman, who filed for divorce last week, also said her husband had punched her father in the nose and smashed her iPad.
"I don't know what he's capable of. I'm really, really scared," she told the 911 operator.
Lake Mary, Florida, police spokesman Zach Hudson said no one had been arrested or injured after police officers were called to a house belonging to Shellie Zimmerman's father, David Dean.
At one point she told her father to take cover. "Dad, Dad, get inside the house. George might start shooting at us," she can be heard shouting.
"Oh my God, oh my God," she added, breaking down in tears.

Some of us dirty hippies thought it exigent to the Trayvon Martin case for the jury to be made aware of George "Gunny" Zimmerman's past history of domestic violence, assault on a police officer, alleged sexual abuse of a family member, and penchant for aggressive behavior in his self-appointed role as neighborhood watch captain along with a reputation of calling police about black suspects in the neighborhood and the police arriving to find nothing.

The shortsighted judge in the case determined otherwise and the rest, including today's latest Zimmerman event, is history.

The Gadfly ruminates that the only question remaining at this point is when will the news story suddenly appear unceremoniously announcing Mr. Zimmerman's death in some form of violent incident, for if all of the available evidence to date is a prescient indication at all, it is very likely that will be this violent man's ultimate destiny.

Oh - and btw - yet another big fuck you to the state of Florida and their insidious and cowardly stand your ground gun law.  If there is such a thing as divine justice in this world, the people behind drafting that legislation and making it law have tickets to Hell reserved in their names, and punched one-way, waiting for them upon their exiting this earthly existence.
