Panel Decides Obama Will Stay On Kansas Ballot Despite Birther Objections

A board of three elected Republican officials decided to allow President Barack Obama to remain on the Kansas ballot during a brief meeting on Monday, despite the protest of California lawyer/dentist Orly Taitz, arguably the nation’s most infamous “birther.”

That's mighty fucking white of them.

The fact that they even considered the clownish birther claims to begin with truly just underscores the nastiness of the strain of extremism that is the lifeblood of conservatism these days.

I fully realize that even if Obama wins by another landslide this November, these assholes will never go away - which is an utterly depressing thought if dwelt upon for too long.  While I am all for their right to protest against Obama and disagree with his policies, there comes a point where the conjunction of their easily disproved lies, misguided hatred and thinly veiled racism ought to automatically exclude them from having a seat at the table of the country's national discourse.  As a result of their tiresome and destructive idiocy, it has become increasingly clearer that instead of having an adult chair at that table, it is way past time that these people need to be outfitted with a bib and permanently relegated to the toddler booster chair in the corner of the room.
