If Greed Were a Virtue, Willard & Friends Would Be Some Mighty Fucking Virtuous MoFo's . . .

The quintessential definition of the word 'grifters':

Its business in retreat, Sun Capital laid off a number of its own employees. Those who stayed were told they would receive no cash bonuses. Instead, everyone was given a bigger slice of the portfolio of companies that, at that time, was losing value every day.
Angry employees fired off a list of dozens of pointed questions to Mr. Leder and Mr. Krouse, asking how much money the two co-founders had been paid and how much they had taken out of Sun Capital. The employees wanted to know how a firm that had just raised a $6 billion fund, and which was collecting about $120 million a year in management fees alone, could possibly be running low on cash.
Mr. Leder and Mr. Krouse had, in fact, already paid themselves handsomely for their giant fund. As 50-50 partners, they kept the first year’s fees, in cash, for themselves, according to former employees. A spokesman for Sun Capital declined to comment.

The heads of Sun Capital are the guys who held the $50,000 a plate fund raiser where Willard gave his now infamous speech in which he slandered half of the American populace as tax-dodging, welfare dependent leeches unworthy of his attention.

You've heard the saying "birds of a feather do flock together" right?  Sun Capital.  Bain Capital.  Conjoined at the hip in the dark art of vulture capitalistic plundering and financial flim-flammery.  These guys are the real leeches on the lifeblood of American enterprise.  They are self glorified paper pushers and fast talking con men who utilize a phalanx of high powered attorneys whom they pay handsomely to worm their way into the U.S. tax code and produce loopholes and exceptions so convoluted and complex, it usually takes government regulators years to untangle the web of deceit, and Congress just as long to pass legislation banning the practices.  Like the vultures they are, they swoop in on unsuspecting, struggling businesses, drain them of what little capital they have left, unceremoniously perform mass layoffs of workers, and then slickly repackage their "investment" and con unwary new investors into infusing fresh cash back in to the company.  On rare occasions, the gamble pays off, the salvaged company regains it's footing and goes on to some modicum of success.  More often than not though, the gamble fails miserably.  Many, oft times long term, workers show up for work one day and are simply told to go home, their job no longer exists.  No severance.  No pension.  Not even a personal thank you for years of loyalty and hard work.  Just a final paycheck and an aggressive shove out the door courtesy of the Ferragamo adorned foot of some smirking Bain or Sun stooge.

And that is exactly what Willard & The Zombie-eyed Granny Starver Paul Ryan intend to do to American democracy and what remains of the American economic dream.

I see some of my friends and family members falling hard for this freak show of R&R.  I would like to believe it's because they have carefully studied the issues, studied the candidates past and present comments about the issues, studied their economic plans and made what they truly believe to be a sensible decision to allow Willard and Ryan access to power.  But I know damn well that they have not performed such due diligence.  Their votes for R&R are motivated primarily by hatred for the Negro, uneducated consumption of Fox "News" lies and misinformation, which they gobble like KFC popcorn chicken nuggets, and just plain ignorance in the belief that the Republican party honestly gives a shit about their interests.  It's sad to watch.

Nonetheless - I plod forward.  I lay the truth and the facts on the table for anyone open minded enough to at least look at it and compare it to what they are hearing from their propaganda media sites.  I encourage people to debate me or others on their merits of their candidates policies and visions.  I fully understand, that for the most part I am simply wasting my time, but the way I see it, if I can sow even one seed of doubt in one single mind, and that seed grows in to full-fledged introspection and healthy skepticism -- then it's all worth the effort.

7 weeks to go people.  To my fellow progressives I implore you to stand your ground.  Don't give an inch.  Battle the lies, the propaganda, and the personal attacks with an unending counter-barrage of the best weapons you have in your arsenal -- the truth and the facts.

Honesty and an unerring belief in the goodness of your cause will be rewarded.
