It's quite interesting that this gets released late in the afternoon on New Year's Eve.
I say 'interesting' because Republican committee chair and Drumpf fluffer Jim 'Gymbo' Jordan had flatly refused Jack Smith's earlier formal request to hold a public hearing so that he could present his case directly to the American people. Jordan chose to do it behind closed doors in a taped deposition.
So why all of a sudden at the last hour on the last day of the year did they decide to release a 245 page document of Smith's closed door testimony and an 8 hour (unknown if edited or not yet) video-tape of Smith's sworn testimony?
What are they up to??

"On the final day of 2025, the House Judiciary Committee released an interview with former special counsel Jack Smith about his prosecution of President Donald Trump.
In the 245-page transcript, Smith claimed he had enough evidence to convict Trump of election interference charges. The case was dropped after Trump was re-elected.
"You just made some pretty definitive statements about your belief that President Trump was guilty of these charges. Is that correct?" Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked Smith in the interview.
"Yes, I believe we had proof beyond a reasonable doubt in both cases," Smith replied.
The former special counsel later added, "Pres. Trump was, by a large measure, the most culpable and most responsible person in this conspiracy. These crimes were committed for his benefit. The attack that happened at the Capitol, part of this case, does not happen without him.""
I sense subterfuge of some sort on the part of Trumpublicans. They have already shown their true colors when it comes to Drumpf's Epstein problem in that they have done everything in their power to protect Epstein's child raping clientele from being identified and being held accountable. I have no doubts they would go to similar lengths to protect Drumpf from being held accountable for his January 6th coup plotting.
Btw, it should be noted that Jack Smith testified UNDER OATH, facing penalty of felony perjury if what he testified to was false. It is notable because Drumpf himself has never, not once, testified under oath in any of these investigations of his crimes. And the reason for that of course is because he is a pathological liar and no criminal defense attorney in their right mind would allow such a fundamentally deceitful client to take the stand in defense of themselves.
Not that the nation's top law enforcement agency under the direction of Pam 'Scam Blondi' Bondi will do anything to hold Drumpf accountable in any way for his treason, but at least we now have solid confirmation from Jack Smith that Drumpf is indeed a criminal and an enemy of democracy, and if there were any measure of decency and rightness remaining in this country, his ass would be sitting in a maximum security penitentiary right this moment along with his January 6th coup co-conspirators.
