MOSCOW — Shifting from his previous blanket denials, President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia said on Thursday that “patriotically minded” private Russian hackers could have been involved in cyberattacks last year that meddled in the United States presidential election.

Allow The Gadfly to analyze and interpret this for you dear readers.
Putin, is now stipulating, in his own cutesy, strong-man way, that the Russian cyber-thugs who hacked the DNC's emails in glaring efforts to sway the election toward Drumpf likely were just good ol' "patriotically minded," private Russian citizens operating outside the purvey of Putin's government and Russian intelligence oversight - yeah right - and if you believe that, you're more hopeless than The Gadfly already believes you are.
In essence here, Putin is slyly acknowledging that the actual act of the hacking itself was most certainly a "patriotic" one. And if that is what he believes, then it stands to reason that the Russian's national security forces would have been infinitely more motivated to have perpetrated such an act themselves. It makes no sense that they would stand by idly watching while a few rogue, citizen "patriots" undertook, of their own planning and execution, aggressive cyber-intelligence operations against Russia's preeminent enemy, the United States of America -- dontcha' think?
The Gadfly thinks Putin is just derisively thumbing his nose at America with such a blatantly ridiculous and snide statement. He knows very well what he and his government and his intelligence agencies have perpetrated. He knows what kind of chaos and consternation that it has caused and how it has affected America's relationships with it's long-standing allies. And The Gadfly guarantees every one of you dear readers that he also knows which skeletons are writhing in which American's closets, and he is having a robust, jolly good chuckle about it all.
This Drumpf/Russia shit is going to get real ugly very quickly here -- especially once the fired FBI chief Jim Comey testifies under oath next week that Drumpf purposely attempted to obstruct the FBI's investigation in to Michael Flynn's pre-election contacts with the Russian government and also because there are reports that special counsel Robert Mueller has engaged the services of some big gun, financial crimes investigators to partake in his assigned mission. Thus no wonder Drumpf has wasted no time in lawyering up as well.
Keep that popcorn popper chugging away . . . .
