And with that, the term "idiocracy" officially went from being the title of a satirical science fiction movie about a dystopian future America where advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism have run rampant and that is devoid of intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, or any coherent notions of justice and human rights -- to being present day reality.
The Gadfly actually forced his self to watch all 10+ minutes of this clip, at great peril to his own sanity. The only thing The Gadfly can say is that it was very much the equivalent of viewing an extended scene from one of those nature documentaries depicting a couple of chimpanzees sitting together and meticulously grooming each other.
The Gadfly's brain hurts after watching that. And there's only one thing that can cure that kind of brain hurt . . . . .
