Wisconsin's Teabagger senator Ron Johnson evidently is in the throes of some major, self-righteous butthurt. Why for might you ask dear reader? Apparently the clown is of the belief that 'The Lego Movie' is some form of leftist, anti-business propaganda. And no - The Gadfly is not making this shit up.
Observe:
A concerted propaganda effort underway in America has created a "cultural attitude" in which people believe "government is good and business is bad," Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) told a local reporter for WisPolitics.com.
Johnson said the latest evidence of this propaganda campaign is "The Lego Movie," in which the bad guy is a heartless businessman intent on destroying the world for profit. "That's done for a reason," Johnson said. "They're starting that propaganda, and it's insidious."http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/28/lego-movie-scripted-by-karl-marx_n_7462068.html
One wonders if this bloviating asshat has ever seen an obscure old 1940's flick which highlighted the callousness and evilness of big greedy business . . . . that name of that movie was ummm ...... hmmm ... it's right on the tip of The Gadfly's dirty old leftist tongue.... ohh yes - that's it .. 'It's A Wonderful Life'. One of the most celebrated movies in American cinematic history.
Remember the greedy old local businessman Henry Potter who was scheming to shut down good guy George Bailey's little savings and loan business which was committing the crime of putting humanity before profit by helping the town's residents recover from the Great Depression? Remember that little story?
The Gadfly thinks that if someone recited the plot line of 'It's A Wonderful Life' to Ron Johnson, the man would positively have a full-on, shit-flinging kiniption fit.
Anyhow, this isn't a story which The Gadfly feels is worthy of spending too much time writing about, but for the simple fact that it absolutely is additional prima facie evidence of just how mentally unstable that a great many of these Tea Party political all-stars truly are.
