Wading In To The Cesspool (Mindset) of the Average Romney Voter . . .

Oh lord god almighty.

The Gadfly did not know whether to laugh or to cry while watching this.  Especially the part where the interviewer is asking the Romney supporters to explain what Romney's plans are for bettering the country's current situation and why they like those plans.  Merciful deity(ies) whoever thee be - please save us from these ignorant rubes.

The scariest part is knowing that these people breed.

  1. Unbelievable!! This is why I'm a pessimist and have very little hope for the future of our country. I see stupid people everywhere I look.

  2. Sadder/scarier yet is that the Koch Bros. and their ilk, aided by the supremely moronic Tea Party and their ilk, want to completely destroy, if not altogether eliminate public education, and turn over the education of this country's children to organized religion and for profit, unaccountable corporations. In other words - they want to create even more of the brain dead zombies as seen in this video clip.

  3. One positive note, a poll came out Friday that says that Joe Donnely is 11 points ahead of Richard Mourdock. At least this gives me hope that the people of Indiana aren't totally insane. Now if we can only keep Pence, for Governor, and Bennett, for State Superintendent of Public Instruction, from getting elected. We will work on Senator Dan Coats next election. Oh, and the republican super majority state legislature too. The song, "Impossible Dream," just started playing in my head!!

  4. Mr. Hurt -- joy courses through my heart knowing that that there are other Americans out there that actually give a shit about this country's future. Like you, the Gadfly has children and grand children and contemplates their future daily. When I think of a future America run by the likes of Romney and the people he serves, I fear for the sturdiness of democracy that will best serve my children and grand children. Plutocracy is simply an academic word for banana republic.

  6. I know that previous post sounded like it came straight from the script of "Inherit The Wind" ... but I can't help myself some times - I do mix my personal blatherings with popular culture .. even if it's from the 1960's . You can go research that one yourself :).
