"Obama Hates America!!" . . Why? . . "Ummm - Because! Neener-Neener!" . . .

Soledad O'Brien and the panelists on Tuesday's "Starting Point" got into a testy exchange with Tea Party activist Amy Kremer over her allegation that President Obama doesn't "love America the way we do."

There you have it folks!  The Chairperson of the Tea Party Express in all of her Ernest T. Bass glory.

This woman is so fucking dumb she is entirely incapable of even articulating the meaning and context of her own statements as to why it is that she believes Obama hates America.  Derp, Derp,....

I know this is going to sound harsh, but quite honestly, it's the most sensible explanation I can produce as to why these lizard brains think the way they do ..... Amy Kremer is the culmination of generations of in-breeding, closed minded brain washing and paranoid tribalism combined with fundamentalist religious based home-schooling.  Add in a healthy dose of reality denial and the final product is hateful ignorance in it's purest form.  As much as I am certain that there does exist some common ground between my dirty hippie views and the views of the Teabaggers, their overt racism and penchant for lying and peddling manufactured conspiracies just simply prevents me from empathizing with them in any way, shape or manner at this point.  I have resignedly given up any hope for them.

  1. This country is moving back to the future. The 50s are making a comeback. Joe McCarthy is alive and well in the Tea Party. Their attitude is that I'm right, you're wrong, and I don't have to explain myself in any way, shape, or form. I really believe that history will look back on this time period as the beginning of the demise of the USA. We've stopped talking. People only know talking points. A discussion leads to some kind of resolution. What we have now is take it or leave it. Both sides are to blame, but I happen to agree more with the Dems. I don't know what to do about it. I like the idea of term limits on everyone. At least that way we can wipe the slate clean every few years. Other than that, I'm clueless - which is normal for me.

  2. I am just as frustrated. I truly wish it were possible to sit down and have a sane dialogue with those on the right. As I stated above, I do believe there are issues that we can find common ground on. But there is one ginormous problem - how do you have a sane conversation with people who believe our President was born in Kenya, is an America hating communist, a socialist, a Muslim, a terrorist appeaser and who is secretly planning to hand over U.S. sovereignty to the U.N. in order to confiscate everyone's 'gubs' (sorry - could help throw a Woody Allen reference in there) - and round up all Republicans and put them in FEMA concentration camps. The short answer is - you can't. You cannot have a rational conversation with delusional lunatics. I see it the way Bill Maher sees it when he states that "Democrats have moved to the right and the right has moved into a mental hospital." The people doing all of the compromising and reaching out have been on the Obama/Dem side. I watched a replay of Bill Clinton's speech last night and he brought up the subject of Mitch McConnell, who a year into Obama's term stated, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president." How do you reason with people with that kind of single-minded, unproductive obstructionism which comprises the core of their ideology? At this point, while I have several issues with which I disagree with Obama on, the mere thought of Willard and Ryan getting in to power actually makes me fear for my children's and grandchildren's future. So I will vote for Obama and hope that the GOP comes to it's collective senses and kicks the Teabaggers to the curb and starts working with Obama to seriously address this nation's problems in a fair and sensible manner. But honestly - I don't foresee that occurring. If Obama wins, I believe they will just entrench themselves even deeper in to their tribalism and selfishness. I am open to other ideas, other views, but unfortunately, the lunatics have hijacked the GOP and until the GOP addresses that dilemma, it's better for Obama and the Dems to just push forward alone and if the GOP doesn't want to help lead, tell them to get the hell out of the way.

  3. But how do you lead when you need a percentage of repubs to get anything passed? They can keep up the filibusters and keep saying NO. Since 2010 what has Obama been able to do. Every thing that has passed has been a delay tactic until sometime later (i.e. the debt ceiling). Nothing will change. Dems try to get something passed, the repubs say NO, and then complain that we have no answers for our problems. I am sad, pessimistic, and angry. I don't see that changing anytime in the next 10 years. Obviously, being an educator, I am going to have trouble voting for any republican. I've never voted a straight ticket... until now. That's a shame because there are some good local republicans. But, after national republicans and dealing with our wonderful state of Indiana governor and legislature, I've had it. I've got a feeling that the guy that will win our governorship and take Mitch Daniels place, will be even worse than what we have now. I'm sick of the whole thing.

  4. My answer is that if Obama wins and if the party layout of the House and Senate remain the same. Harry Reid and the Democrats need to just simply stand up, flip the middle finger at the GOP and go for "the nuclear option."

This option, according to Wikipedia: "In U.S. politics, the "nuclear option" allows the United States Senate to reinterpret a procedural rule by invoking the argument that the Constitution requires that the will of the majority be effective on specific Senate duties and procedures. This option allows a simple majority to override the rules of the Senate and end a filibuster or other delaying tactic."

In other words shit-can the filibuster and bring back the simplicity of majority rule. If the GOP and the Teatards want to dig in even deeper and delay progress at the expense of progress and getting America back on the road to peace and prosperity - it has to be done. It has to be done without an ounce of regret. It has to be done aggressively and forcefully. And it has to be down without looking back. Just do it - and then ramrod every worthy Obama policy down the GOP's goddamn throats one right after another, just like the GOP did during Bush's tenure when the GOP controlled all three branches of government for 6 of Bush's 8 disastrous years. It just has to be done if any good is going to come from an Obama 2nd term. Obama and Dems just need to stiffen their spines and adopt a bit of that ruthlessness that the GOP and the wingnuts have perfected as an art form.
