The words in the quote above the video here were the ravings of a woman constituent of Oklahoma Republican rep. Jim Bridenstine. And how did Rep. Bridenstine respond to the obviously either Vodka drunk or certifiably insane woman?
He stated:
"Everybody knows the lawlessness of this president."
"He does it by decree."
"He uses foreign bodies."
"The second amendment of the United States of America [sic] is not
open for debate by foreign governments."
There is a reason why Rep. Bridenstine did not remove the lunatic woman from the gathering or even tactfully repudiate her disgusting claims. It's because that woman and a great many who view the world exactly like her make up the core of the Republican base these days. And so instead, Bridenstine simply fed her his own spoonful of idiotic charges, which no doubt did nothing but to embolden the drunken old biddy and her approving friends.
And that dear readers is prima facie evidence as to why this country cannot move forward in any meaningful or productive manner. It is simply not possible to have a rational, intelligent and trusting conversation with people who, quite frankly, should be confined to long-term care in a maximum security mental institution.
It is also why Obama simply should tell John Boehner and Mitch McConnell to go fuck themselves and the minute they depart the oval office, just start issuing executive orders (Obama has 215 to go before he matches the number of executive orders Ronald Reagan issued in his two terms) left and right to get America back on the path to peace and economic prosperity.
If the GOP would prefer to play political footsie with the racists and the birthers and the misogynists and the hate-filled loons rather than perform their sworn duty as elected officials to participate in the co-governing of our democracy, then fuck them straight to hell. Get out of the way then and let the adults handle the situation.
The Gadfly is just sick and goddamn tired of this minority of loud-mouth, know-nothing morons fucking up the present circumstances as well as any prospects for a better future for most of the people in this country - and honestly, at this point - is even ashamed to call them his fellow Americans.
