We Have Met The Enemy and He is Us ---- Or a Few of Us Anyway . . .

Just whose side are these oil company fuckers on anyhow??

Russia, viewed by the Obama administration as hostile to U.S. interests, has discovered what may prove to be a vast pool of oil in one of the world’s most remote places with the help of America’s largest energy company.
Russia’s state-run OAO Rosneft said a well drilled in the Kara Sea region of the Arctic Ocean withExxon Mobil Corp. struck oil, showing the region has the potential to become one of the world’s most important crude-producing areas.

WWII hero General and eventual U.S. President, Dwight D. Eisenhower tried to warn us about the military-industrial complex and how their loyalties were more to their profit margins and their investors, and not so much to the country, and the people, that allowed them to prosper to begin with.

Cheney and his friends in Halliburton and Blackwater and the rest of the Carlyle Group contractors who raped the U.S. taxpayers (you dear readers and The Gadfly) blind over their decade of bungling shit in Iraq, only solidified the truth of Eisenhower's powerful words.

Why is it do you think dear readers that the fossil-fuel industries are spending so much dark money trying to buy as many congressmen and senators that the Supreme Court has ruled that they now are free to do so?

And goddamn it -- let's get something straight out in the open right here and now -- the Tea Party is funded by these scum.  Americans For Prosperity (AFP) is a Koch brothers funded front group that is being used by the wealthy fossil-fuel oligarchs to push their environment ravaging agenda forward.  The Tea Party is not, in any way shape or form, a friend of the average American - and The Gadfly guarantees that you can take that advice to the bank.

But yeah -- no surprise that U.S. big oil is making friends with the Russians.  The best we can hope for is that when the day comes to put their corporate officers on trial for treason, that the prosecutors will not bow to pressure to take the death penalty off the table as to the maximum penalty to be levied.
